    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Offering recently increased compensation, relocation allowance and $30,000 sign-on bonus!</strong></p><p>The Nemours Neonatology team is looking for an experienced Physician Assistant to join our expanding NICU in Wilmington, Delaware. We will be expanding in 2026, adding 14 new inpatient rooms. With this expansion, the NICU will house 45 beds as a contiguous unit. &nbsp;</p><p>Our shifts are rotating and will require holiday commitments. &nbsp;</p><p>The Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) at Nemours Children's provide the best start in life for babies born too early or with medical problems. Our Level IV NICUs provide the highest level of neonatal care.</p><p>Newborn medicine specialists, or neonatologists, take care of babies around-the-clock in this high-tech unit. Pediatric surgeons and experts in every specialty have direct access to the NICU.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Manages and provides care for the patient requiring neonatal intensive care utilizing collaborative consultation with team members, under the direction and supervision (but not necessarily the direct attendance) of an attending neonatologist.</li><li>Receives a distressed neonate in the Delivery Room and initiates appropriate intervention.</li><li>Performs a complete newborn physical examination and assessment of gestational age, discriminating between normal and abnormal findings.</li><li>Conducts parent interviews and takes family history.</li><li>Collaborates with neonatologists concerning pertinent historical events, physical findings, diagnostic and therapeutic measures initiated on all admissions.</li><li>Orders appropriate laboratory tests and procedures.</li><li>Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures necessary and appropriate for the care of the patient.</li><li>Reviews and provides general care items involved in neonatal care, such as temperature stabilization, hyperalimentation therapy, feeding management, and phototherapy.</li><li>Participates in daily rounds in NICU.</li><li>Rotating shifts required</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What we Offer</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive salary with $30,000 sign-on / 3-year retention agreement</li><li>Extensive benefits package that includes quality-based bonus incentives, relocation allowance, life insurance, comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage</li><li>CME allowances</li><li>Retirement plan with employer matching and an additional 457B retirement savings plan</li><li>Educational allowance, paid licensure and malpractice fees, and professional membership dues allowance.</li><li>Qualified new grads are encouraged to apply</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>PA-C with a minimum of 2 years Neonatal experience preferred</li><li>Current unrestricted Physician Assistant License to practice in the state(s) in which privileges are sought</li><li>National Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Current American Heart Association BLS and NRP Certification</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>For confidential Consideration</strong></p><p>Apply online today!
