    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:</strong> A community development officer is responsible for working with the community to identify and address issues and needs, and to develop and implement programs and initiatives to improve organization&rsquo;s work in the community. This may include working with local government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community members to identify and address social, economic, and environmental issues.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong>:</p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Assists in the identification of new target markets for investment or expansion of services.</li><li>Monitors expansion projects and provides ongoing updates as requested by the CEO and board of directors.</li><li>Identifies and assists with targeting areas of business expansion for the organization</li><li>Works with community members and governmental entities to assess resources and services for the organization.</li><li>Participates in the development of a community needs assessment.</li><li>Collaborates with local government agencies and non-profit organizations to coordinate and deliver services and resources to the community.</li><li>Develops and maintains relationships with community members, organizations, and agencies to promote collaboration and partnership.</li><li>Participates in community events and activities to promote community development and engagement</li><li>Assists in the development of proposals that will expand the reach of the organization in the community.</li><li>Assists with securing funding for ongoing and additional projects that benefit the community and organization.</li><li>Assists in the development and management of grant proposals to support community development initiatives.</li><li>Provides ongoing updates regarding Community Investment for the New Market Tax Credit project as outlined in the project requirements.</li><li>Provides updates on trends regarding FQHC services and expansion of services in Louisiana.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:&nbsp;</strong>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
