This person&#xa0;provides ongoing development and maintenance for major financial systems including A/R,&#xa0;Billing&#xa0;and Sales Reporting applications. Leads in small to midsize projects,&#xa0;analysis&#xa0;and design of new or improved systems, ability to deal with complex development issues such as multi-platform development, and small size project management which&#xa0;don’t&#xa0;cross departmental boundaries. This position will be hybrid and&#xa0;will be expected&#xa0;to&#xa0;work from the Ingram headquarters&#xa0;4&#xa0;days per week.</p><p><em>Want&#xa0;to help explore and build new ways to deliver content to the world?</em> </p><p>At Ingram, our Technology team is blazing a trail by providing content distribution services to thousands of publishers with key initiatives around business intelligence, machine learning, continuous integration and omnichannel. &#xa0;We support diverse people and technology that highlights innovation through SaaS platforms, metadata, cloud, and containerization. &#xa0; Our teams are agile, and emphasize authenticity, creativity, and transparency upon a fact-based foundation. </p><p>The world is reading, and it is our goal to connect as many people as possible to the content they want in the simplest ways. &#xa0;If you are an IT professional who strives to deliver results through collaborative partnerships, understanding what drives business, and enjoys working in a connected culture, we&#xa0;can’t&#xa0;wait to meet you! </p><p><strong>The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or&#xa0;directly related&#xa0;experience</li><li>6+ years development experience as application engineer/sr. programmer analyst</li><li>5+ years mainframe COBOL and/or Mainframe/iSeries development experience</li><li>5+ years relational database experience</li></ul><p><strong>We&#xa0;have a preference for:</strong></p><ul><li>Understanding of logistics order-to-delivery process, distribution functions or transportation processes</li><li>Experience with Account Receivable systems</li><li>Experience with ASI Accounts Receivable system</li><li>Knowledge of Cobol Programming on Mainframe and iSeries platforms</li><li>Knowledge of DB2, Oracle, SQL, SSIS and SSRS</li><li>Ability to be flexible/multi-task based on workflow demands</li></ul><p><strong>The Senior&#xa0;Software Engineer’s&#xa0;key responsibilities are:</strong></p><ul><li>Develops, tests, and implements changes to existing mainframe COBOL programs/applications including integration with MQ and API middleware.</li><li>Works closely with client resources to assist in solution design and implementation</li><li>Supports user/customer community to capture system requirements.</li><li>Works with multiple systems (i.e. Order Processing, Warehouse Processing, Billing, Sales, Credit Processing)</li><li>Manages projects that require work from others.</li><li>Creates project plans and manipulates the key factors (time, resources, and functionality) in order to offer alternatives to project sponsers.</li><li>Communicates project status and issues.</li><li>Enforces good development practices.</li><li>Investigates new technologies and new techniques.</li><li>Develops and modifies internal facing software applications.</li><li>Provides application development life cycle support including specifications, prototypes, development, quality assurance, deployment and support.</li><li>Reviews and evaluates application workflow and user experience.</li><li>Provides adequate tests to ensure program meets specified requirements.</li><li>Coordinates with users and product owners to gather requirements.</li></ul><p><em>Hiring Salary Range: $110,981- $141,123k. This range&#xa0;represents&#xa0;the&#xa0;anticipated&#xa0;low and high end of the salary for this position.
