    "description": "<p><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: 12pt\">About us:            </span><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: 12pt\">WKC Group is an environmental consultancy firm offering high-value advisory services and technical studies.  WKC offers expertise in areas such as Environmental Impact Assessment, environmental modelling, marine and biodiversity studies and a range of assurance related services.  WKC’s award winning team are strategically located in the Middle East, the UK, and South Africa allowing reach around the world across multiple sectors including energy, mining, transportation, industrial and residential development and government.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: 12pt\">The role:              WKC are hiring a Senior Accountant to be responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic financial decision making.  The role will play a key part in month-end close, financial analysis, and process improvement, while also providing guidance to senior management and administrative staff who are involved in accounting processes.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements;</li>\n<li>Manage general ledger, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations;</li>\n<li>Oversee project based accounting in collaboration with operational project managers, including cost tracking, revenue recognition, and project profitability status;</li>\n<li>Oversee office based accounting in the Middle East in collaboration with office managers, including cost tracking, revenue recognition, and office profitability status;</li>\n<li>Support the Finance team and Partners with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management;</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance to accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial policies;</li>\n<li>Prepare data required for audits and collaborate with the Finance officer in addressing external auditors, tax advisors and regulators;</li>\n<li>Review and improve financial controls, processes and reporting systems;</li>\n<li>Prepare management reports and provide financial insights to senior leadership and project managers;</li>\n<li>Manage and perform month-end and year-end close processes</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Candidate Requirements;</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience;</li>\n<li>Minimum of 1-2 year experience in a supervisory/senior role;</li>\n<li>Bachelor degree in accounting;</li>\n<li>Accounting Certification e.g. Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant.</li>\n<li>Advanced software proficiency in MS Excel.</li>\n<li>UAE and KSA based regulatory knowledge;</li>\n<li>Strong command of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Financial Reporting Standards;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Candidate Preferences:</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience;</li>\n<li>Masters degree in accounting or finance;</li>\n<li>Experience with ERP Systems (e.g. Sage, Quickbooks, Oodo)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>",
