      "description": "<p>Description</p><p>As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for maintaining the equipment in the facility on the production floor, warehouse and the office area. </p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule</strong></p><p>Requirements</p><p><u><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></u></p><ul><li>Repair / replace extrusion process line equipment as needed to ensure safe and efficient operation.</li><li>Prioritize breakdowns based on the input from production.</li><li>Troubleshoot equipment problems in coordinated effort with production personnel.</li><li>Ensuring work orders are completed in a timely fashion and all parts used are accounted for.</li><li>Responsible for ensuring all equipment is diagnosed and repaired in a timely manner or elevating to the Maintenance Manager level when the repairs will take longer than allotted time.</li><li>Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.</li><li>Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.</li><li>Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.</li><li>Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.</li><li>Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.</li><li>Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.</li><li>Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.</li><li>Collaborates with production manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.</li><li>Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with production manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required.</li></ul><p><u><strong>Skills Required:</strong></u></p><ul><li>Understands electrical diagrams, familiar with 12 VDC to 480 VAC electrical wiring, with diagnostic capability.</li><li>Previous experience with PLC’s, VFD’s, and relay-based logic.</li><li>Multi discipline mechanical, electrical, HVAC skills and the ability to quickly learn new process/equipment.</li><li>Effective communication, observation, planning, writing, reading, basic math, problem solving and prioritizing skills.</li><li>Proficient computer skills to receive/close work orders, view/search different folders for manual, notes and/or documents. </li><li>Demonstrated good house keeping practices and 5S principles.</li><li>Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.</li><li>Works well independently and with others.</li><li>Good communication skills.</li><li>Organized with attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.</li></ul><p><u><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></u></p><ul><li>3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with a track record of improvements.</li><li>3-5 years’ experience in a maintenance environment with a track record of improvements.</li><li>Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, preferred.</li></ul><p><u><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></u></p><ul><li>Prolonged periods standing and walking.</li><li>Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.</li><li>Must be able to visually inspect machines.</li><li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.</li></ul>",
