Schedule: Full Time, 35 hours/week, at least three days working onsite The Corporate Partnership Manager is responsible for managing dynamic and meaningful engagement with the business community with an emphasis on developing compelling solicitation materials, coordinating benefit fulfillment, and supporting the Corporate Membership program. Reporting to the Associate Director of Corporate Partnerships, this position must be a proactive, self-starting collaborator who expertly anticipates organizational and donor needs to drive strategic engagement and revenue growth within SFMOMA’s Philanthropy Department Success for the Partnerships Manager will be to support the Partnerships team’s efforts to reach annual fundraising goals. Indicators of success include: After 30 days: Demonstrated progress in learning museum systems. Built relationships with team members and other museum staff. Willingness to ask questions, take direction, and maintain a sense of humor during the learning process. After 90 days: Built relationships with corporate contacts, completed compelling proposals and reports, and demonstrated ability to manage a variety of responsibilities and complete assignments on time. After 1 year: Demonstrated clear competency in all aspects of the position after experiencing a full cycle of corporate fundraising activities, including successfully securing corporate support while fully participating in team culture. Responsibilities & Duties Manage the development of materials for soliciting and cultivating corporate support Design and develop visually compelling pitch decks for corporate sponsorship opportunities Develop persuasive content for solicitation materials, including clear, persuasive text describing exhibitions and programs, museum audience, statistics, and case studies Produce grant applications, LOAs and other materials as assigned Ideates bespoke activation ideas that align goals and priorities of sponsors and the museum Works collaboratively across departments to collect data and information for content creation Manage sponsorship benefit fulfillment Review and track sponsor recognition including credit lines, onsite signage, digital materials, and other assets Support the execution of on-site sponsor benefits including the production of activations, in-person experiences, and specialized signage and communications Coordinate and provide logistical and staffing support at events Collect and analyze data on sponsorship results and produce sponsorship fulfillment reports Coordinate database management, sponsor communications, and other administrative needs with Partnerships Team members Support Corporate Membership Program Cultivate and solicit a portfolio of corporate members for annual support Produce and update program materials, including Corporate Partnerships Brochure, webpage, and member listing Research prospective Corporate Members Manage the production of e-newsletter including the drafting content, design, and distribution Manage fulfillment of benefits including passes, event invitations, and tour Manage in-kind museum support for donated services and product Meet regularly with Partnership Team and attend required museum meetings Other assignments on occasion that support Philanthropy Department needs Qualifications & Skills Bachelor of Arts degree or equivalent work experience Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of experience in managing a fundraising program including direct solicitation of funders or equivalent sales, sponsorship, or business development experience Must have the experience, creativity, and knowledge to conceive, plan, and execute corporate partnerships. Design skills to create compelling visual presentations and pitch materials Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and research skills Self-motivated initiative, ability to work independently, and drive to achieve goals at a managerial level A collegial and creative work style and the drive to excel with humor, passion, and purpose Entrepreneurial approach to fundraising Knowledge and connections to the local and national corporate community Comfortable working with and presenting to a broad diversity of people Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities while staying well organized and detail oriented Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail Prior experience working in an arts organization highly desirable Knowledge and interest in the arts is a plus Working Conditions Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Willingness to work flexible hours. Work schedule includes some evenings and local travel, as well as minimal weekends
