    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Summary</span></p>\n<p>Elephas, a Madison, WI-based biotechnology start-up company, is seeking a highly motivated Field Application Scientist to join our team. Applicants should be comfortable in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment. A successful candidate will be eager to learn and flexible with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Travel 50-75% is estimated for this position.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Essential Duties and Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Primary global support resource for Elephas diagnostic platform, devices and products, including development of training and support materials</li>\n<li>Will provide hands-on on-site training on SOPs, protocols and devices for customers, and global partners until reaching defined proficiency and performance levels</li>\n<li>Build positive relationships with customers and provide an outstanding customer experience</li>\n<li>Will participate in on-site and virtual quality audits of partner laboratories</li>\n<li>Troubleshoot customer and partner inquiries</li>\n<li>Work as part of internal team to develop service and support plans for new products in new markets and territories</li>\n<li>Will support sales and marketing professionals in achieving company financial targets</li>\n<li>May present scientific and platform data at accounts, symposia or conferences</li>\n<li>Represent Elephas at relevant commercial events including tradeshows and conferences</li>\n<li>Maintain strong relationships with Elephas core team colleagues</li>\n<li>Work in collaboration with business development, sales, marketing and product managers to establish customer-facing product and support materials.</li>\n<li>Support internal R&amp;D efforts as time allows.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Education/Experience/Skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum MS degree in life sciences</li>\n<li>2-5 years of experience as an application specialist/scientist for a commercial life-sciences organization.</li>\n<li>3-5 years of life-science research lab experience (Oncology and/or Immunology highly preferred)</li>\n<li>Demonstrated understanding of fundamentals of cancer, immunology, molecular and cellular biology.</li>\n<li>Track-record of high performance in a dynamic and demanding customer/field support environment with an ability to maintain composure and provide outstanding experience.</li>\n<li>Soft skills commonly obtained from customer service, sales, or business development with scientific background</li>\n<li>Can articulate and bring feedback on platform performance and VOC to mother ship</li>\n<li>Self-starter, able to work independently and take initiative</li>\n<li>Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills</li>\n<li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills</li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li>\n<li>Great time management and ability to handle multiple initiatives and changing priorities</li>\n<li>Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice for strategic account support.</li>\n<li>Estimated travel of 50-75%.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Nice to have</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advance microscopy research or support experience</li>\n<li>Engineering skills or background</li>\n<li>Experience working with primary human tissue</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We offer our employees competitive compensation and benefits, including paid time off, health insurance, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) plan, and stock options.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">DISCLAIMER</span></p>\n<p>The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
