Description JOB PURPOSE: The Controller is responsible for the overall management of the Company’s accounting operations, including financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, and financial close processes. This role ensures the integrity of financial information, supports strategic decision-making, and promotes operational efficiency across the organization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required but is not intended to be a conclusive list. Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting Ensure compliance with all accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal audit controls across key areas such as cash, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, debt, and inventory Create, maintain, update and adhere to effective internal controls, policies, and standardized accounting procedures Oversee financial reporting accuracy and timeliness, ensuring reliable data for executive decision-making Partner with cross-functional departments to improve operational efficiencies and support business initiatives Identify process improvement opportunities and lead initiatives through completion Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective financial operations Provide leadership, guidance, and development to accounting staff Support external audits and serve as primary liaison for auditors Additional Duties Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible accounting experience Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred CERTIFICATIONS: CPA or equivalent certification preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Must be able to uphold our company’s mission statement. Ability to effectively lead, train, and motivate a team. Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial systems/ERP platforms, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash modules Effective communication and interpersonal skills Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to analyze problems and implement effective solutions. Strong organizational and time management skills.
