The Property Maintenance Technician enhances YMCA properties by completing maintenance work orders for YMCA grounds and facilities.</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></p><p>1. &nbsp;Completes association-wide facility work orders as assigned.</p><p>2. &nbsp;Maintains supply and maintenance closets, tools and equipment in a safe, functional and orderly manner.</p><p>3. &nbsp;Assists location staff as needed to maintain cooperative working relationships.</p><p>4. &nbsp;Relates to the public in a positive manner.</p><p>5. &nbsp;Actively participates in department and association staff meetings and/or related trainings.</p><p>6. &nbsp;Performs other duties as assigned.</p><p><strong>YMCA COMPETENCIES (Leader):</strong></p><p>Critical Thinking &amp; Decision Making Functional Expertise</p><p>Innovation</p><p>Program/Project Management</p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><p>1. &nbsp;High school diploma or GED required; Associate&rsquo;s degree highly desirable</p><p>2. &nbsp;Three or more years of experience in facility management or closely related field preferred</p><p>3. &nbsp;Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems, carpentry or other maintenance related areas in a commercial environment preferred</p><p>4. &nbsp;Complete within 30 days of hire: BLS CPR; First Aid; State Pool Operator&rsquo;s Certificate</p><p>5. &nbsp;Completion of YMCA risk management and other maintenance-specific certifications, as needed</p><p>6. &nbsp;Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community and successful clearance of background check</p><p>7. &nbsp;Valid driver&rsquo;s license and reliable transportation to travel between branches on a daily basis required.</p><p id=\"isPasted\">8. Follow youth boundaries policies and abuse risk management training.&nbsp;</p><p>9. Report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and adhere to mandated abuse reporting and responsibilities.&nbsp;</p><p>10.
