    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are seeking to fill a <strong>GIS Analyst</strong> <strong>- LIDAR</strong> position for <strong>DOD SkillBridge Transitioning Service Members </strong>within our Geospatial Division in the <strong>Huntsville, AL, or West Palm Beach, FL </strong>office. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position will focus on the collection, processing and analysis of data from various remote sensing systems that WGI offers. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The candidate will be engaged in a career building opportunity while doing precise work, requiring good analytical and reasoning abilities, at a rapid pace of work. Candidate will be directly responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of data. If you think you are an innovative, self-motivated team-player, and want to shape your community, join our WGI team today!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>WGI offers a complete Benefits package including: Medical, Dental, Vision, LTD & STD, Life Insurance, 401k with match, PTO, Holidays, HSA with company contribution, Pet insurance, and Employee assistance program.</strong></p>\n<p>#LI-Onsite </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform setup, collection, processing and QA of various geospatial sensor derived data (i.e. LiDAR, aerial imagery)</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot and solve routine LiDAR data processing issues</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot and solve routine LiDAR collection equipment issues including GNSS systems and IMUs</li>\n <li>Develop efficient workflows for training new associates</li>\n <li>Help setup data management strategies to ensure proper infrastructure and data policies are in place to handle active data storage and archiving</li>\n <li>Have strong knowledge of GIS concepts related to coordinate systems and projections</li>\n <li>Adhere to safety and information security policy</li>\n <li>Out of town/state travel will be required; meal per diem and lodging will be provided</li>\n <li>Duties may require overtime by performing work after normal working hours, late night hours, and weekends as needed</li>\n <li>Work as a team member as well as independently</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>DOD SkillBridge Transitioning Service Members Only</strong></li>\n <li>Associates degree required, Bachelors degree referred</li>\n <li>Must have the desire to learn new software, hardware and methodologies while assisting the Geospatial department to operate at maximum efficiency</li>\n <li>Most work well with others, be team oriented, helpful and a good problem solver and preferably, experience with DOT specifications and deliverables</li>\n <li>Ability to understand 3D surface modeling and 3D visualization concepts</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
