    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Regional Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Safety Advisor is responsible for ensuring compliance of and providing support to Centerline Logistics Health, Safety & Environmental Programs.  </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure that all marine operations are conducted with due regard to the Health, Safety & Environmental programs are maintained.</li>\n <li>Monitor all marine activities and operations related to HSE matters.</li>\n <li>Ensure all activities are conducted to ensure implementation and adherence to the requirements of the Safety Management System.</li>\n <li>Liaise with company personnel regarding HSE issues.</li>\n <li>Perform safety inspections and visits aboard vessels and regional facilities.</li>\n <li>Assist in conducting ISM Audits onboard Company equipment and facilities.</li>\n <li>Assist Regional Operations in HSE new hire orientations</li>\n <li>Assist in coordinating and executing Company training seminars, safety meetings and drills.</li>\n <li>Assist in maintaining regional compliance with all Local, State and Federal Regulations.</li>\n <li>Advise vessel crews and field staff on all HSE related matters and areas for improvement.</li>\n <li>Advise the Centerline Logistics Safety Team on HSE related items and areas for improvement.</li>\n <li>Assist in new project development as requested.</li>\n <li>Perform incident investigations.</li>\n <li>Assist in management of Company safety program.</li>\n <li>Promote accident & spill free operations in the workforce.</li>\n <li>Serve as a member of the Regional Emergency Response team and respond to Company reported incidents according to Company policy.</li>\n <li>Support the Director of Safety on regional incident investigations.</li>\n <li>Research regulatory information.</li>\n <li>Assist in the training and professional skill and safety development of marine personnel.</li>\n <li>Help improve the safety record of vessels and crews.</li>\n <li>Assist in the development of Company operating procedures.</li>\n <li>Support regional TMSA activities.</li>\n <li>Support regional external audits</li>\n <li>Support SIRE Program as necessary.</li>\n <li>Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Director of USEC Operations and HSQE Director as well as those assigned by the regional administrator.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in the maritime industry</li>\n <li>Familiarity with tug and barge/oil transportation industry.</li>\n <li>Trained in Incident Investigations: To be obtained within 6 months of hire.</li>\n <li>Trained in ISM Auditing: Including ISO 9001, 14001 and OH&S 18001: To be obtained within 6 months of hire.</li>\n <li>Ability to deal with others using courtesy, tact, and good judgment.</li>\n <li>Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive communications.</li>\n <li>Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently with minimal or no guidance.</li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint</li>\n <li>Ability to obtain TWIC.</li>\n <li>Must be able to read, speak, write, type, and understand English in person and over telephone.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of tank barge operations, ship operations, and terminal/refinery operations preferred.</li>\n <li>Valid State driver’s license</li>\n <li>Valid Passport</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Job Condition and Environment</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Required to board tugs, barges, and ships, at dock or at anchor in all weather conditions and at all hours.</li>\n <li>Exposure to all weather conditions (rain, ice, snow, heat, wind, heavy seas, etc.)</li>\n <li>Must be able to pass required pre-employment company physical.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Expected Hours of Work</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Normal work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.</li>\n <li>24hour and 7day a week availability for emergency calls on a designated call schedule.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p>Centerline Logistics is a leading provider of marine transportation services in the United States.
