    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\">Rochester Midland Corporation (RMC) is a leading manufacturer and global supplier of specialty chemicals for food, sanitation, water treatment, legionella control, facility maintenance, restroom order control and industrial cleaning. &nbsp;The EH&amp;S Specialist is responsible for maintaining the health and safety of the plant workforce and environment by monitoring and evaluating health and safety conditions; assuring compliance with applicable policies, procedure, and governmental standards; and maintenance of the EHS Programs for the site. The primary objective is to ensure a safe and incident-free work environment including methodologies, initiatives and strategies that promote safe operations, safety awareness, training, and continuous improvement to eliminate or control unsafe behaviors, environments, and hazards. The Environmental Health &amp; Safety Specialist will also be back-up for administration of corporate product compliance to meet all applicable Federal, State, and global requirements.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>This is an onsite position - only candidates who live in the Rochester area will be considered.</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Job Fumctions:&nbsp;</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Coordinate with the Plant Managers to conduct safety and compliance training.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), Kosher, Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) and Halal Certification Management including audits, verification of required logos and other required markings.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Point person for all safety related matters including compliance related audits or inspections at Rochester Midland Corporation facilities to include Occupational Safety &amp; Health Act (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), or other local compliance.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Product regulatory compliance back-up, including state pesticide registrations, pesticide applicator, label/SDS and global regulatory requirements.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Liaison between employees and EH&amp;S Manager and/or Human Resources regarding safety related needs.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Adhere to all safety, OSHA, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements including proper respirator fit testing and usage once trained</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform similar/related duties as assigned or required<em>&nbsp;</em></li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Education / Certifications</strong><strong>:&nbsp;</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">B.S. or B.A. in a technical or organizational field</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM) or other safety certification preferred <strong>&nbsp;</strong></li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Experience:&nbsp;</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">5 years performing technical duties in an EH&amp;S environment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience in coordinating EH&amp;S activities in a manufacturing setting preferred.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding OSHA, EPA, Department of Transportation (DOT), and other U.S. requirements.
