Able to work unsupervised for extended periods of time and assist in training technicians in lower job classifications.<br><br><u><strong>Schedule: </strong></u>Monday through Friday 1pm start time occasional weekend work.<br><br><strong><u>Starting hourly rate between $33 - $35</u></strong><br><br><u><strong>Sign on bonus to paid out in installments</strong></u>: First payment of $500 to be paid after 90 days and second payment $500 to be paid after 180 days, $1000 at one year.<br><br><strong>Company benefits:</strong><br>Medical, Dental and Vision insurance 1st of the month following hire date. <br>401 K with 4% company match after 90 days.<br>Tool reimbursements<br>Tool insurance<br>Yearly work boot allowance<br>Safety training<br>Freightliner factory training<br>Kenworth factory training <br>Cummins training<br><br><br><strong><u>Training & Experience:</u> </strong><br>• <u><strong>Minimum of six (6) years practical experience or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.</strong></u><br>• Specialized training and/or experience in the overhaul of major components (i.e., Mack – Cummins - Detroit Diesel Engines, etc.).<br>• Be proficient in the use of all tools of the trade (Welding equipment, power tools and shop machinery).<br>• High school diploma or equivalent required.<br>• Ability to lift, push or pull up to at least 50 lbs.<br>• Good driving record with valid driver's license.<br>• Ability to drive automatic transmissions and use of PTO.<br>• Superb communication skills (verbal and written).<br><br><strong><u>Major Function:</u></strong> <br>  • Properly diagnose, overhaul, adjust and repair all series of truck and trailer equipment including but not limited to the following:<br>• Engines (Gas and Diesel) – Diagnose, remove, and rebuild and reinstallation, as necessary.<br>• Transmissions (Manual & Automatic) – Diagnose, remove rebuild and reinstallation, as necessary.<br>Differential/Power Dividers – Diagnose, remove, rebuild and reinstallation, as necessary.<br>• Starters/Alternators – Diagnose, remove, repair, and replace as censer.<br>• Air Conditioning Systems – Trained/Certified, diagnose electrical and mechanical defects, repair, component replacement, evaluation, and charging.<br>Fan Clutches – Diagnose, remove, rebuild and reinstallation, as necessary.<br>• Power Steering Systems - Diagnose, adjust, and repair, as necessary.<br>• Electrical/Brake/Cooling Systems – Diagnose, remove, rebuild, reinstallation, and adjustment, as necessary. Brake certified.<br>• Clutches – Diagnose, remove and reinstallation, as necessary.<br>• PTO Systems – Installation of PTO System and related hydraulic components.
