    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<h3>Senior Software Engineer – AI/Agentic Systems</h3><p class=\"p1\"><strong>Pearson Learning Studio (PLS) – Guided Study | Hoboken, NJ</strong></p><p class=\"p2\">Pearson Learning Studio is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the REIA squad within the PLS team to help design and build next-generation AI-powered learning experiences using Agentic AI frameworks and LLM-based architectures.</p><p class=\"p2\">This role is focused on developing intelligent, scalable AI systems with strong emphasis on Agentic workflows, LangGraph-based orchestration, state management, prompt engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). The ideal candidate will have deep experience building AI-driven applications using Python and modern AI orchestration frameworks.</p><p class=\"p2\">&nbsp;</p><p class=\"p1\"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p class=\"p2\"><strong>AI &amp; Agentic System Development</strong></p><ul class=\"ul1\"><li class=\"li2\">Design and implement Agentic AI workflows using frameworks such as LangGraph and LangChain.</li><li class=\"li2\">Develop and manage multi-step AI orchestration pipelines with robust state management.</li><li class=\"li2\">Integrate and optimize Large Language Models (LLMs) for intelligent learning experiences.</li><li class=\"li2\">Design and implement RAG pipelines using embeddings and vector databases.</li><li class=\"li2\">Create, evaluate, and optimize prompts to improve response quality, reasoning, and reliability.</li><li class=\"li2\">Build scalable AI services and APIs using Python.</li></ul><p class=\"p3\">&nbsp;</p><p class=\"p2\"><strong>Platform &amp; Engineering</strong></p><ul class=\"ul1\"><li class=\"li2\">Develop production-grade backend services and AI integration layers.</li><li class=\"li2\">Contribute to scalable system architecture, observability, and performance optimization.</li><li class=\"li2\">Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate business requirements into AI-driven solutions.</li><li class=\"li2\">Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with ownership and urgency.</li></ul><p class=\"p3\">&nbsp;</p><p class=\"p2\"><strong>Agile Collaboration &amp; Technical Leadership</strong></p><ul class=\"ul1\"><li class=\"li2\">Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and technical planning sessions.</li><li class=\"li2\">Contribute to architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and engineering best practices.</li><li class=\"li2\">Mentor junior engineers and support team-wide technical growth.</li></ul><p class=\"p3\">&nbsp;</p><p class=\"p2\"><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul class=\"ul1\"><li class=\"li2\">6–8 years of software engineering experience.</li><li class=\"li2\">Strong hands-on experience with Python development.</li><li class=\"li2\">Experience building AI/LLM-powered applications in production environments.</li><li class=\"li2\">Hands-on experience with LangGraph, LangChain, or similar AI orchestration frameworks.</li><li class=\"li2\">Strong understanding of Agentic AI concepts, workflow orchestration, and state management.</li><li class=\"li2\">Experience implementing RAG pipelines, embeddings, and vector databases.</li><li class=\"li2\">Strong prompt engineering skills and understanding of LLM behavior optimization.</li><li class=\"li2\">Experience building scalable APIs and distributed systems.</li><li class=\"li2\">Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.</li><li class=\"li2\">Excellent collaboration and communication skills.</li><li class=\"li2\">Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p class=\"p2\"><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul class=\"ul1\"><li class=\"li2\">Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, or other enterprise LLM platforms.</li><li class=\"li2\">Familiarity with AI observability, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails.</li><li class=\"li2\">Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.</li><li class=\"li2\">Experience in EdTech or content-driven platforms.</li><li class=\"li2\">Experience working within Agile product delivery teams.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><i>Applications will be accepted through June 1.
