    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Centrus Energy is seeking a practical, detail-oriented&nbsp;<strong>Design Engineer</strong>&nbsp;to join our team at the American Centrifuge Plant (ACP) in Piketon, Ohio. If you are passionate about taking engineering concepts from initial design to final, buildable outputs, this is your chance to contribute to a critical, nation-leading energy project.</p>\n<p>Working closely with senior engineering leadership, you will play a hands-on role in facility modifications, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance from scoping to turnover.</p>\n<p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop, refine, and update 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, turning markups, field walkdowns, and vendor data into actionable design packages.</li>\n <li>Support minor plant modifications by coordinating across disciplines to ensure design deliverables are clear, executable, and meet safety-significance requirements.</li>\n <li>Maintain rigorous configuration control, including updating as-builts, implementing redlines, and ensuring all documentation accurately reflects the installed configuration.</li>\n <li>Compile and maintain installation-ready packages (drawings, specs, and test requirements) to support Certified for Construction (CFC) release.</li>\n <li>Maintain strict documentation practices, verifying that all design outputs align with approved Engineering Change Records (ECRs) and applicable standards.</li>\n <li>Actively participate in hazard analyses, quality assurance activities, and technical reviews to ensure compliance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What You Bring:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or related) is preferred, alongside a commitment to safety-first principles.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD tools (AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks) and a strong ability to produce, review, and manage technical drawing packages.</li>\n <li>Experience with mechanical or piping systems in process-control or industrial environments, with a focus on code compliance.</li>\n <li>Proven ability to manage configuration control and produce accurate as-built drawings.</li>\n <li>Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and contractors to resolve field issues.</li>\n <li>Ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” level security clearance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.25in\"><br><i>In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.</i></p>\n<p><i>This position will require a pre­-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.</i></p>\n<p><i>Centrus Energy and all subsidiaries shall abide by the applicable legal requirements.
