Revenue Audit Supervisor

The Rose Gaming Resort is a $480 million gaming and entertainment complex destination, located alongside I-95 in Dumfries, Virginia. Along with exciting gaming action, The Rose Gaming Resort provides a luxury hotel, eight bars and restaurants, a space for meetings and events, 50,000+ square foot gaming space and over 1,650 Historical Horse Racing machines, and over 80 acres of green space. The Rose Gaming Resort generates an estimated $35.5 million in annual tax revenues and employs more than 500 team members. JOB SUMMARY The Revenue Audit Supervisor reports to the Revenue Audit Manager and assists in providing direction and troubleshooting in daily audits, supervising Revenue Audit staff, and assists in ensuring all audit programs are completed daily. The Revenue Audit Supervisor performs numerous audit and financial reporting functions, including preparation of journal entries, auditing functions, and recording financial information. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES •    Assists in developing revenue audit checklists •    Follows the revenue auditor's daily checklists to ensure all daily revenue audit steps have been completed •    Reconciles any errors and records corrections using proper documentation •    Reviews and follows up on audit exceptions issued by clerks •    Assists in updating/reviewing the Flash Report daily •    Assists in training, assessing, and reviewing the job performance of subordinates •    Assists in managing schedules and duties of revenue auditors •    Schedules and coordinates recurring functions such as month-end inventory counts/observations •    Assists with/as independent auditors and internal auditors, as required •    Completes necessary/assigned reports in a timely manner to meet deadlines •    Ensures compliance with all audit and internal procedures are followed •    Adheres to all regulatory, departmental, and gaming policies and procedures •    Ensures that all revenue-related documents are safeguarded •    Other duties and responsibilities as assigned REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES In addition to the other duties described herein, each Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations. •    Attend the required training sessions offered by the Company. •    Obtain and retain required license(s). •    Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations. •    Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco. •    Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department. •    Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gaming. •    Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE •    Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. •    Must have a high school diploma •    Must be proficient in the entire Microsoft Office Suite Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
