In this role, you will deliver both <strong>routine and acute eye care</strong>, ensuring early detection and effective management of visual disorders, ocular diseases, and systemic conditions that affect vision health.</p><p>You&#8217;ll use your clinical expertise to evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of eye-related conditions while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to promote readiness, wellness, and prevention.</p><hr><h4><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h4><ul><li><p>Conduct <strong>comprehensive eye examinations</strong> to evaluate visual acuity, ocular health, and systemic implications affecting vision.</p></li><li><p>Diagnose and manage <strong>diseases, injuries, and disorders</strong> of the eye, visual system, and associated structures.</p></li><li><p>Provide <strong>preventive and therapeutic eye care</strong>, including prescribing corrective lenses, contact lenses, and ocular medications.</p></li><li><p>Perform <strong>pre- and post-operative evaluations</strong> for refractive and other ophthalmologic procedures.</p></li><li><p>Conduct <strong>color vision, contrast sensitivity, and binocular vision assessments</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Utilize advanced diagnostic tools such as <strong>fundus photography, corneal topography, Pentacam scans, autorefraction, and visual field testing</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Remove superficial ocular foreign bodies and perform <strong>epilation</strong> when clinically indicated.</p></li><li><p>Provide <strong>patient education</strong> on eye health, safety, and vision conservation, promoting preventive practices and adherence to treatment plans.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other specialists for co-management or referral of complex ocular and systemic conditions.</p></li><li><p>Participate in <strong>clinical training, wellness initiatives, and vision research</strong> activities as part of a multidisciplinary team.</p></li></ul><hr><h4><strong>Qualifications</strong></h4><ul><li><p><strong>Degree:</strong> Doctor of Optometry (OD).</p></li><li><p><strong>Education:</strong> Graduate of an optometry program accredited by the <strong>Accreditation Council on Optometric Education (ACOE)</strong>.</p></li><li><p><strong>Licensure:</strong> Current, active, and unrestricted <strong>optometry license</strong> in any U.S. state or territory.</p></li></ul><hr><h4><strong>Schedule</strong></h4><ul><li><p><strong>Full-time, Monday&#8211;Friday</strong></p></li><li><p><strong>7:30 a.m. &#8211; 4:30 p.m.</strong></p></li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:x-small\"><em>MDPerm is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
