This role supports the pharmacist in delivering safe and effective patient care by performing a variety of technical and administrative pharmacy duties. All responsibilities are carried out under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist and in accordance with Nebraska DHHS Pharmacy Statutes.</p><h3><br></h3><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Enter medication orders into the computerized system for pharmacist verification&nbsp;</li><li>Prepare daily medication fills and deliver to patient care areas&nbsp;</li><li>Restock and maintain automated medication systems and floor stock&nbsp;</li><li>Assist in preparing IV additives and chemotherapy under pharmacist supervision&nbsp;</li><li>Package medications and check for expiration dates&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and sterility of IV preparation areas&nbsp;</li><li>Perform patient home medication reconciliation&nbsp;</li><li>Process medication orders and update records as needed&nbsp;</li><li>Restock pharmacy inventory and supplies&nbsp;</li><li>Audit and reconcile patient medication charges&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with medication pricing updates and billing support&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in staff meetings and training sessions&nbsp;</li><li>Follow all safety, infection control, and emergency protocols&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure strict confidentiality of patient information (HIPAA compliance)&nbsp;</li><li>Adhere to all hospital, departmental, and corporate compliance policies&nbsp;</li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned&nbsp;</li></ul><h3><strong>Qualifications &amp; Skills</strong></h3><ul><li>Ability to read, write, and understand policies and procedures&nbsp;</li><li>Basic computer proficiency&nbsp;</li><li>Strong communication and organizational skills&nbsp;</li><li>Good attention to detail and comprehension abilities&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of confidentiality laws and healthcare privacy standards&nbsp;</li></ul><h3><strong>Physical Requirements &amp; Working Conditions</strong></h3><ul><li>Ability to stand, move, and restock supplies throughout the shift&nbsp;</li><li>Capability to safely handle medications and use protective equipment&nbsp;</li><li>Comfortable performing routine computer-based tasks</li></ul><p><br></p>",
