Benefits may vary based on state law.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Job Overview</h2>\n<p>The Surgical Technologist assists the surgeon during operative and invasive procedures, assists in preparation of surgical services to ensure suite setup is appropriate.  Shriners Children's Spokane is looking for a part time Surgical Technologist to join the team!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>**Upgraded Pay Range**</strong> The pay range for this position is $29.79-$44.69/hourly. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity. </p>\n<p><strong>** NO Nights, NO Weekends, Minimal Call, Minimal Holiday Call**</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Competency to create and maintain a sterile field, providing equipment and supplies, performing sponge, sharps and instruments counts.</li>\n <li>Providing visualization of operative site.</li>\n <li>Independently pulls cases utilizing preference sheets and OR special equipment lists.</li>\n <li>Updates, reviews lists making changes as necessary. Reviews cases, and equipment prior to start of case.</li>\n <li>Is scrubbed in and has equipment prior to patient arriving into the OR suite</li>\n <li>Verifying efficacy of equipment, operating, maintaining, verifying, and recording efficacy of equipment</li>\n <li>Determines and documents efficacy of equipment. Records reflect accurate description of operations, sterilization, and use of equipment</li>\n <li>Familiar with proper assembly, operation, and disassembly of all OR equipment and attends in-service on new equipment</li>\n <li>Attends in-service on new equipment, completes competency evaluation successful in operation and maintaining equipment used within the department</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This is not an all inclusive list of this job's responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Surgical Technologist License</li>\n <li>Basic Life Support (BLS)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma/GED</li>\n <li>Surgical Technologist Certification (CST)</li>\n <li>1 year experience with scrub skills</li>\n</ul>",
