We offer a holistic programme combining training, dedicated support work, community building and employment pathways. Empowerment.  </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">The Role and its impact </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">This is an exciting, newly created role that will be instrumental in raising awareness of Luminary Women and supporting the charity's next phase of growth. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">We are looking for a creative and driven individual whose focus will be on development of our digital communications, primarily across Instagram, LinkedIn and our website. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Why join us? </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Opportunity to work directly with the charity’s CEO, alongside the Programme teams and Head of Fundraising.  </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">As this is a newly created role it gives you the potential to shape it and make a meaningful social impact to our work.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Luminary Women launched its new channels in March 2026 to coincide with International Women’s Day, making this a special time to join our charity. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">You’d have a key role in raising awareness about our activities, including our workshops and events, helping grow our website and social media engagement. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">In addition, you would also be involved in the gathering and  preparing case studies, writing newsletters and helping with fundraising material.  The role would suit an individual looking for a rewarding part-time position and an opportunity to support the future direction of the charity. The role will be two days a week from our Chalk Farm office (with flexibility).</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">This role is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a small but established charity dedicated to supporting women to thrive. The selected candidate will bring fresh thinking and a commitment to contributing to our mission.  </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-style: italic\">Overview of the role</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Increase awareness of Luminary Women and its mission across social media platforms and our website.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Manage and develop Luminary Women’s social media channels, alongside developing and maintaining our website content in line with our communications strategy (including post creation, case studies, blog and newsletter writing and basic asset design).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ensure consistent messaging across all channels, maintaining a strong and cohesive Luminary Women brand in line with our brand guidelines.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Collaborate closely with the wider team to stay informed on programmes and activities, contributing to the growth of our referral programme.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Work closely with the Head of Fundraising to promote fundraising campaigns and activities, to increase income. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Support the creation of engaging visual content by capturing mobile photography and video across training sessions, events and ad hoc activities (e.g. workshops).</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">PERSON SPECIFICATION </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">**Due to the role responsibilities, it is a Genuine Occupational Requirement that the post holder is female, permitted under Schedule 9, part 1 of the Equality Act 2010**</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-style: italic\">Your experience and skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Degree in communications, marketing,  journalism or related field, or equivalent relevant experience (work experience or placements).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">An interest in the charity sector and in advancing opportunities for women.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">To be sensitive around women's data, stories and identities. To recognise the sensitive nature of the subject matter and to write in a way that empowers survivors.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Awareness of VAWG (violence against women and girls)  and a passion for the cause and women's empowerment.  </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"> </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Excellent verbal and written skills with an ability to follow briefs, communicate with different audiences and attention to detail. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Experience of  social media channels and basic use of Canva.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Experience using WordPress or a similar website builder tool is preferable. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Be a self-starter, innovative and tenacious, with a flexible approach. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">A team-player with strong people and communication skills. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Great organisational and time-management skills.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-style: italic\">What we can offer you</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Personal growth, development and wellbeing are at the heart of our culture.
