This position reports to the RCACF Executive Director.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">COMMUNITY OUTREACH: </span></span></p>\n<p>Grant-writing</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify federal, state and other funding opportunities to support the mission of Russell County-based charitable entities to include 501c3 nonprofit organizations, city and county government, churches, schools, and hospital.</li>\n<li>Assist entities with research, budgeting, compliance, and crafting compelling grant narratives.</li>\n<li>Develop and implement grant training workshops, educational materials (e.g. e-newsletter, handouts), and other professional development tools that benefit charitable organizations.</li>\n<li>Manage daily operations, answering and directing calls, correspondence, project requests, and questions.</li>\n<li>Identify endowment opportunities in Russell County area and report to RCACF director.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Strategic-doing</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify opportunities for collaboration and cooperation among Russell County area charitable entities.</li>\n<li>Convene, guide iterative problem solving, and engage stakeholders directly with the intent of working toward common goals for the improvement of Russell County.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Youth philanthropy</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design, implement and manage a youth philanthropy program dedicated toward teaching youth (primarily middle to high school) about charitable giving, community service, and volunteerism.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">FOUNDATION DEVELOPMENT:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Facilitate and manage annual RCACF match month campaign, including communications, special events, marketing, donor conversations, professional advisor relations, and reporting with assistance from the board.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">MISCELLANEOUS:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attend RCACF board meetings.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in training provided by regional and/or national training as recommended or required.</li>\n<li>Act as spokesperson for the foundation, facilitating positive public relations, and presentations to service organizations and other entities.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Support special projects, as directed by the RCACF Executive Director or board.</li>\n<li>A laptop computer and other necessary office equipment and supplies will be provided at the expense of RCACF with ownership to remain with RCACF.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Requirements to fulfill position: </span></p>\n<p>                Residence in Russell County area, preferred</p>\n<p>                Telecommuting is available with office space for meetings</p>\n<p>                Grant-writing experience, required</p>\n<p>                Bachelor’s degree, preferred</p>\n<p>                Nonprofit experience, preferred</p>\n<p>                Knowledge of Russell County and communities</p>\n<p>                Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects</p>\n<p>                Exceptional organizational and communication skills</p>\n<p>Create and maintain relationships and networks skills</p>\n<p>Technology experience including databases, excel, and word</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background check and maintaining a valid Kansas driver’s license.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>POSITION OPEN UNTIL FILLED.</em></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 8pt\">Russell County Area Community Foundation,  an affiliate of Greater Northwest Kansas Community Foundation, is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
