At Bala you will enjoy an exceptional employee experience that results in a successful career based on collaboration, leadership and personal development.&nbsp;</p><p>As a <strong>Sustainability Engineer,</strong> you&rsquo;ll be part of a team delivering high performance, decarbonized building designs and sustainability analyses to clients. Using building industry knowledge, you will be integral to driving decarbonization efforts by acting as a consultant to your teammates and clients and provide guidance for energy compliance, net zero emissions, and climate resiliency.<strong>&nbsp;</strong>We are looking for candidates that have a strong desire to grow into a leadership role within the firm.<strong><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Primary responsibilities will include:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Net Zero Energy/Carbon Road Mapping</li><li>Whole building life cycle assessment/embodied carbon modeling</li><li>Green building certification support (LEED, WELL, Green Globes, etc)</li><li>Renewable energy analysis</li><li>Incentive and rebate program support</li><li>Electrification consulting</li><li>High-Level Energy Modeling using IES-VE.</li><li>Energy &amp; Decarbonization Auditing</li><li>Climate Risk and Resiliency Assessments</li><li>Understanding of local and national energy codes and policies</li><li>Consultation related to sustainability strategies, energy efficiency measures, innovative technologies, voluntary rating standards, codes, industry trends, etc.</li><li>Keep up to date on new and existing tools, sustainability strategies and energy efficiency measures</li><li>ESG and Sustainability Reporting Consulting</li><li>Internal sustainability reporting for AIA 2030, MEP 2040, SE 2050, and more.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Skills:<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong>Ability to read, review, and evaluate Architectural and Engineering drawings and visualize three-dimensional models</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Familiarity with design tools such as Revit, OneClick LCA, Tally, IESVE , InDesign</li><li>Basic understanding of proper system selection and applicable building codes</li><li>Knowledge of LEED and Green Globes design principles.
