Your primary focus will be providing hands-on mobility assistance and essential education to patients and their support systems to ensure a safe transition from surgery center to home.</p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Working alongside nursing staff to help patients recover after total joint replacement surgery</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Patient & Caregiver Education:</strong></li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Instruct patients and caregivers on prescribed exercises and physician protocols</li>\n  <li>Provide guidance along with nursing staff on effective pain management techniques and recovery expectations.</li>\n  <li>Train patients on the proper use and maintenance of DME including immobilizers, SCD (Sequential Compression Device) pumps, walkers, and gait belts</li>\n </ul>\n <li><strong>Mobility & Gait Training:</strong></li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Provide gait training education to improve the patient’s walking pattern and stability.</li>\n  <li>Physically assist and supervise patients as they navigate stairs</li>\n </ul>\n <li><strong>Safe Transitions:</strong></li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Demonstrate and assist with safe transfer techniques (e.g., getting out of bed, toileting)</li>\n  <li>Provide direct physical assistance during the discharge process, including safely assisting patients into their vehicles.</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Associates Degree </li>\n <li>Valid Certified Occupational Therapist license</li>\n</ul>",
