This role reads mechanical drawings, operates fabrication machinery, and ensures products meet quality and safety standards. The Hand Welder works in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining a clean workspace and following OSHA safety guidelines.</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\">This position is <strong>first shift</strong>, with availability required starting at <strong>5:00am</strong>.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">MIG weld pipe and fabricated components to required specifications using manual and automated welding equipment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to determine material needs and machine settings.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Operate fabrication shop equipment to cut, thread, and prepare pipe and materials.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Inspect and measure finished workpieces to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Monitor machine operation and identify defects or equipment issues.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform basic machine maintenance and keep equipment in safe working condition.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain a clean and organized work area while following OSHA safety standards.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and customer expectations.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to MIG weld and operate fabrication shop machinery.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong attention to detail and ability to measure accurately.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to work safely and follow OSHA guidelines in a shop environment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Effective communication and teamwork skills in a production setting.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Basic computer skills.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Education and Experience</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">High school diploma or equivalent required.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Welding certification preferred, or equivalent professional welding experience.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to pass an operator exam and operate powered industrial equipment.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</strong><br>&nbsp;The physical demands and work environment described below outline the requirements to perform this job.
