This is a unique opportunity for a newly qualified or experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to work within the expeditious Geospatial industry. The successful applicant will be reporting to the Structural Inspection Department manager and will be based in Ireland.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>You will be mentored by a Chartered Engineer with over 20 years of experience in bridge and structure inspection/evaluation and our Operations Manager who is experienced in all the inspection methods and equipment that we provide.  The right candidate will aspire to be a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Chartered Engineer</span> to lead structural inspections and assessments as well as manage projects.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You Will Do</span></span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Performing bridge/structural inspections using a variety of technologies and access methods.</li>\n<li>Assisting Project Manager in coordinating inspection programmes and subcontractors.</li>\n<li>Undertaking waterway inspections and surveys using various boats &amp; equipment.</li>\n<li>Opportunities for Rope Access bridge inspection (abseiling).</li>\n<li>Perform underwater inspections using Remote Operated Vehicles (ROV).</li>\n<li>Utilise Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and equipment.</li>\n<li>Handling, processing and interpreting geospatial/inspection data.</li>\n<li>Preparing technical structural inspection reports.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You Will Bring</span></span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering - BSc in Civil/Structural Engineering or 3+ years equivalent experience</li>\n<li>Fundamental knowledge of the principles and practices of bridge types and loadings.</li>\n<li>Ability to perform detailed field and office inspection work.</li>\n<li>Good writing skills and proficiency in the English language.</li>\n<li>The right to work in Ireland.</li>\n<li>Flexibility to travel nationwide as required by our clients.</li>\n<li>Possess a full clean driving license.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Key Attributes</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Practically minded: good problem-solving and decision-making skills.</li>\n<li>Strong report writing, communication and leadership skills.</li>\n<li>Ability to communicate technical information effectively.</li>\n<li>Ability to work at heights and within confined spaces (training will be provided).</li>\n<li>Possess organisational and time management skills.</li>\n<li>Analytical and critical thinking.</li>\n<li>Have excellent communication and presentation skills.</li>\n<li>Enjoy learning new software applications for the various technological equipment.</li>\n<li>Possess the ability to work with autonomy or as part of a team.</li>\n<li>Be a problem solver with a positive attitude.</li>\n<li>Set high standards for themselves and their services.</li>\n<li>Proven commercial awareness along with strong attention to detail</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits You Will Love</span></span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span>At Murphy Geospatial – A Woolpert Company, you’ll join a collaborative and innovative team where your expertise makes a real impact.
