Securitas is your destination to gain valuable experience to help kickstart your firefighting career!!</strong></p>\n          <p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p>\n          <p>The<strong> Emergency Response Team (ERT)</strong> is a critical member of the Fire Prevention Team and are responsible for all aspects of fire prevention and education throughout the duration of their shift. This role would require the <strong>ERT </strong>to work a continental rotation shift of days and nights. The <strong>ERT </strong>reports directly to the Security Shift Supervisor and are responsible for the following:<br>\n            &nbsp;</p>\n          <p><strong>Pay Rate:</strong> $25.50/hr</p>\n          <p><strong>Shift:</strong> Days and Nights Continental Rotation</p>\n          <p><strong>Life Safety Inspections:</strong></p>\n          <ul>\n           <li>Inspection, maintenance and use of personal protective equipment including Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), identifying and reporting all deficiencies.</li>\n           <li>Basic maintenance of security patrol vehicles and reporting all deficiencies.</li>\n           <li>Maintain operational knowledge of Client Fire Prevention Standard and relevant building and fire codes and enforce these codes and standards.</li>\n           <li>Evaluate, establish, and enforce fire and life safety plans and conduct &amp; observe fire evacuation drills</li>\n           <li>Delivers internal training to Securitas and Client personnel to raise awareness of fire prevention programs and activities.</li>\n           <li>Provides technical support and training for employee personnel.</li>\n           <li>Required to attend, and successfully complete, any training required by Client or designate which may be internal, off site or out of City.</li>\n           <li>Conduct daily checks of CO2 and sprinkler riser systems.</li>\n           <li>Conduct monthly checks of life safety devices as assigned by the S/AM.</li>\n           <li>Complete fire safety shop audits and identify fire/safety concerns and report to confirm corrective action to eliminate hazards and follow up to confirm compliance.</li>\n           <li>Identify, investigate, and report fire/safety hazards coordinating with SAM, Health &amp; Safety or Facilities Engineering for repairs.</li>\n           <li>Maintain operational knowledge of the mechanics and locations of the fire suppression systems on site.</li>\n           <li>Maintain operational knowledge of sprinkler system mechanics to identify trouble signals, alarm signals, leaks and sprinkler flows on any given system.</li>\n           <li>Must wear all PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel toe shoes/boots and cut resistance gloves.</li>\n          </ul>\n          <p>&nbsp;</p>\n          <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n          <ul>\n           <li>Minimum Grade 12 or GED equivalent. Pre-Service Firefighter Diploma is strongly preferred.</li>\n           <li>Valid Ontario Security Guard License will need to be obtained within 3 months of hire.</li>\n           <li>Valid G class Driver’s License.</li>\n           <li>NFPA 1001 Fire Fighter Level I &amp; II from a recognized College or Academy.</li>\n           <li>NFPA 1072</li>\n           <li>IMS 100 within 3 months of hire.</li>\n           <li>First Responder Certification from Canadian Red Cross.</li>\n           <li>Must Successfully pass SCBA Fit Testing.</li>\n           <li>Mental Health First Aid Certificate issued by recognized provider within first 3 months of hire.</li>\n           <li>Must be able to display clear and quick thinking to resolve problems whilst being able to withstand stress and stay calm under pressure</li>\n           <li><span><i><strong><u>A valid driver’s license is required.&nbsp; Successful candidates must provide a recent clean driver’s abstract as a condition of employment with 5 years driving experience.</u></strong></i></span></li>\n          </ul>\n          <p>&nbsp;</p>\n          <p><i><strong>Securitas Canada celebrates diversity, and we welcome and encourage applications from the four designated groups: namely women, aboriginal people, visible minorities and persons with disabilities.&nbsp;</strong></i>Accommodations are available for applicants with disabilities throughout the recruitment process.&nbsp;We value diversity and inclusion and encourage all qualified people to apply.</p>\n          <p><strong>Thank you to all that apply.
