    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p><br></p></div><p data-pasted=\"true\">JOB DESCRIPTION</p><table border=\"1\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" width=\"607\"><tbody><tr><td valign=\"top\" style=\"width: 48.5997%;\"><p>Job #: <strong>5151</strong></p></td><td valign=\"top\" style=\"width: 51.4003%;\"><p>Job Title: <strong>JOURNEYMAN TECH-FIELD</strong></p></td></tr><tr><td valign=\"top\" style=\"width: 48.5997%;\"><p>FLSA status: Non-exempt</p></td><td valign=\"top\" style=\"width: 51.4003%;\"><p>Department: Service</p></td></tr><tr><td valign=\"top\" style=\"width: 48.5997%;\"><p>Reports to: Field Service Mgr.</p></td><td valign=\"top\" style=\"width: 51.4003%;\"><p>Date: September 2025</p></td></tr></tbody></table><p><br></p><p><strong>Position summary:&nbsp;</strong>Responsible for diagnosing and repairing material handling equipment on customer premises &ndash; meeting and exceeding customer&rsquo;s expectations.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>General Purpose:</strong> To support our company mission to keep our customers&rsquo; equipment running with the least amount of down time possible.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Role qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Must maintain excellent rapport with customers.</li><li>Must stay current with technical knowledge on products we support.</li><li>Must ensure we use &ldquo;safety&rdquo; in all activities encountered throughout the day.</li><li>Must be willing to work overtime as needed to satisfy customer, to include off-hours emergency calls.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Position responsibilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Complete all service jobs that are assigned to you.</li><li>Communicate with the Road Lead Technician on any unusual service problems encountered or for any technical assistance needed.</li><li>Attend service training classes offered to maintain knowledge on new products, or for refreshers on products not encountered too often.</li><li>Complete and submit all paperwork daily for jobs worked on (time cards, maintenance reports with customers&rsquo; signature).</li><li>Communicate with dispatcher and/or service office as to status of jobs and availability for new jobs.</li><li>Identify jobs that should be sent to our shop for repair (due to complexity or safety reasons) and recommend they be sent in.</li><li>Develop and maintain relationship with territory sales representatives to keep them informed of sales opportunities you might see.</li><li>Always adhere to safety rules and policies at all times.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Essential skills and experience:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Must have very good skills in repairing powered industrial equipment, with a minimum of two (2) years&rsquo; experience repairing fork lift trucks and/or other products we represent, to include all types of LP Gas, diesel, and electric trucks.</li><li>Must successfully complete any training courses required.</li><li>Strong customer orientation</li><li>Must be a good communicator &ndash; written and verbal.</li><li>Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Basic computer proficiency and laptop fundamentals.</li><li>Must own tools necessary to perform repairs, per our recommended tool list.</li><li>Must have valid driver&rsquo;s license and good driving record.</li><li>Must be certified to operate material handling equipment.</li><li>Commitment to company vision and mission</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Nonessential skills and experience:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Experience with welding and fabricating</li><li>Trained on complete rebuilding of major brands of equipment</li><li>Awareness of lean business principles</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Reporting to this position:</strong> no direct reports</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Physical demands and work environment:</strong> The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
