SUMMARY OF POSITION: Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Brake Press Setup/Operator sets-up and operates brake presses and punch presses to form and bend a variety of materials. Responsible for part quality and efficiency. RESPONSIBILITIES: Set-up dies and gauges, adjust ram stroke to form materials to proper angle and radii Work from drawings, specifications, patterns, or templates Use scale, protractor, fixed angle and radii gauges Sorting and packaging parts Verify quantity & quality of material Moves raw material to and from production areas as necessary Operates overhead crane while moving product QUALIFICATIONS: Good math skills; Basic reading & writing skills Regular attendance is required; punctual, dependable Strong attention to detail PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently required talk or hear and may occasionally sit; regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
