Description

The School for Community and Economic Development at West Virginia University is seeking qualified part-time Adjunct Instructors to teach undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses on a per-semester basis. The school includes academic majors such as Agribusiness Management and Applied Economics, Agricultural and Extension education, Landscape Architecture, Sustainable Design and development, Sustainable Trails development, rural community development, and human and community development. Courses may be offered in-person, online, or in a hybrid format, depending on program needs. Responsibilities: Teach assigned course(s) in accordance with established course outlines and syllabi. Deliver engaging, high-quality instruction aligned with program goals in areas such as community development, rural policy, economic development, civic engagement, nonprofit leadership, or related fields. Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and course materials. Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators. Follow university and college policies related to instruction and academic integrity.
