Overview Position Summary The Lube & Tire Technician is responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance and tire services in accordance with OEM and dealership standards. This entry-level role supports the Service Department by ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality work on customer and inventory vehicles. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail oriented, and eager to grow within a professional dealership environment. Responsibilities and Qualifications Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and lubrication tasks. Conduct tire services such as mounting, balancing, repairs, rotations, and tread inspections. Complete multipoint inspections and document findings on repair orders in a clear and consistent manner. Identify basic maintenance and safety concerns and communicate them to senior technicians or Service Advisors. Follow OEM repair procedures and dealership workflows to ensure consistent quality and efficiency. Properly use shop tools, lifts, torque equipment, and safety gear. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times. Assist technicians with basic repair tasks as skills and training progress. Support proper vehicle handling, including parking, moving, and preparing vehicles for service. Participate in required OEM or dealership training programs and development opportunities. All other duties as assigned by leadership. Qualifications Previous automotive maintenance or tire service experience is an asset but not required. Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in automotive service. Ability to safely operate tools, shop equipment, and vehicle lifts. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow detailed instructions. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
