Every project brings new challenges, environments, and opportunities to learn.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>If you enjoy hands-on fieldwork, thrive in dynamic environments, and want to help shape the future of infrastructure inspections, we’d love to hear from you.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The Opportunity</span></p>\n<p>Do you want a career that takes you around the world?</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Niricson, our field teams inspect some of the world's most important infrastructure assets—from hydroelectric dams and bridges to tunnels and industrial facilities across North America and beyond.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As an Infrastructure Drone &amp; Field Operations Specialist, you'll travel to unique locations, operate advanced drone and sensing technologies, work alongside engineers and infrastructure owners, and help collect the critical data that keeps communities safe.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is not a desk job.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>One week, you may be inspecting a hydroelectric dam in Canada. The next, you could be supporting a bridge assessment in Australia or helping deploy cutting-edge sensing technology on critical infrastructure.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>If you love technology, travel, problem-solving, and working in the field, this role offers an opportunity unlike anything else in the industry.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate and execute field operations.</li>\n<li>Support our third-party data collection partners and/or clients in collecting data.</li>\n<li>Collect data by operating various drone and sensor platforms.</li>\n<li>Strengthen relationships with drone partners and clients while in the field.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with internal teams to aid in the development of equipment and software.</li>\n<li>Travel up to 50% of the time to support field operations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why You'll Love This Role</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Travel throughout Canada and internationally.</li>\n<li>Work with industrial drones and advanced sensing technology.</li>\n<li>Access locations and infrastructure most people never get to see.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, pilots, and technology experts.</li>\n<li>Help shape the future of infrastructure inspections.</li>\n<li>Be part of a growing technology company where your ideas matter.</li>\n<li>Gain exposure to drone operations, photogrammetry, infrastructure inspections, reality capture, and emerging sensing technologies.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree/diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Surveying, or Remote Sensing.</li>\n<li>Experience in project coordination and communicating with project stakeholders (clients, subcontractors, service providers, internal teams).</li>\n<li>2-3+ years’ experience in field operations.</li>\n<li>An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.</li>\n<li>Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a high-pressure environment.</li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills and emotional awareness.</li>\n<li>Willingness to work independently and be a self-starter.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>  </p>\n<p> <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preference may be given to applicants with the following:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with Surveying, GIS, Remote Sensing, or UAV-based inspections.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in troubleshooting equipment, software, and hardware issues in the field.</li>\n<li>Passion for photography with experience in optimizing camera settings for differing environments.</li>\n<li>Experience and passion for interacting with external stakeholders.</li>\n<li>Experience working with photogrammetry software.</li>\n<li>Enthusiasm for drone technology and other data collection methods.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Demonstrated Competencies to be Successful in the Position</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Integrity </span>– Keeping your commitments to the team, customers, and Niricson’s stakeholders.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Detail-oriented </span>– The ability to think critically about challenges, focus on objectives, maintain a disciplined approach to data collection, and be able to design efficient and effective solutions.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Resilience</span> – Ability to work through difficult challenges and overcome adversity.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work ethic </span>– A commitment to delivering quality products on time to clients and to dealing with clients, third-party contractors, and Nircson’s team members collaboratively and professionally at all times.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Adaptable </span>– The ability to manage dynamic operations, overcome barriers as they arise, and ask for support or guidance when needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>We thank all applicants for their interest in career opportunities with Niricson, but only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation &amp; Benefits </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Pay: </span>Starting base salary of<br>$75,000 Annually <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">plus</span> hourly-based overtime during fieldwork – we’re open to salary negotiations depending on experience</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Equity Participation:</em></span> This role includes a stock option grant because we believe the people building the future of Niricson should have the opportunity to share in its success.
