Description Summary: Directly reports to the Operations Supervisor. The Field Supervisor will be responsible for supplies and assigned special assignments, as necessary. Will function as second in command capable of performing the duties of the Shift Supervisor when required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Attend required management meetings. Assist with training department as needed with continuing education and orientation. Assigns and distributes work, reviews work for accuracy and completeness, and returns assignments with recommendations for proper completion. Collaborate with the communications department to maximize utilization of resources. Review, respond to, and report all incidents and accidents in accordance to company policy. Inspect field personnel, quarters, and units to ensure conformity of Central EMS standards. Collaborate with maintenance personnel to ensure safe vehicle performance. Initiate disciplinary actions in accordance with Central EMS operating procedure. Determines medical disposition of patients and medical facility utilized; securing patient into ambulance and monitors the patient’s condition en route to the hospital, providing continues medical care and treatment, and demonstrates a working knowledge of Paramedic Division destination policies. Assists Shift Supervisor with daily duties, acts as second in command when required. Knowledge, Skills and Ability: Knowledge of methods and techniques for providing on-site emergency medical services. Knowledge of company medical director approved protocols and standing orders. Ability to read and interpret local maps. Demonstrated skills in the successful completion of multiple, simultaneous, and rapidly emergent tasks. Demonstrated ability to read and understand medical terminology. Demonstrated ability to write reports, and correspondence. Demonstrated ability to effectively present information and respond to questions regarding patient care, Central EMS operations and other customer service issues. Demonstrated ability to utilize personal computer systems including PCR reporting, email, and MDT applications. Demonstrated ability to represent Central EMS and other team members as an EMS professional. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Working Environment: Due to the nature of EMS Care working conditions, employees may be exposed to inclement weather, potential hazardous conditions, psychological stressors, diseases and other illnesses. Frequent interruptions, work pressure, difficult personalities and irregularities in work schedule are expected. Employee is subject to continually changing deadlines, while performing the duties of this job. The employee will be occasionally required to attend meetings, some of which may take place outside of regular working hours. The employee will occasionally go for periods of time without sleep, food, or breaks as determined by call load. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Will function as second in command capable of performing the duties of the Shift Supervisor when required.\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tAttend required management meetings.\\r\\n\\tAssist with training department as needed with continuing education and orientation.\\r\\n\\tAssigns and distributes work, reviews work for accuracy and completeness, and returns assignments with recommendations for proper completion.\\r\\n\\tCollaborate with the communications department to maximize utilization of resources.\\r\\n\\tReview, respond to, and report all incidents and accidents in accordance to company policy.\\r\\n\\tInspect field personnel, quarters, and units to ensure conformity of Central EMS standards.\\r\\n\\tCollaborate with maintenance personnel to ensure safe vehicle performance.\\r\\n\\tInitiate disciplinary actions in accordance with Central EMS operating procedure.\\r\\n\\tDetermines medical disposition of patients and medical facility utilized; securing patient into ambulance and monitors the patient&rsquo;s condition en route to the\\r\\n\\thospital, providing continues medical care and treatment, and demonstrates a working knowledge of Paramedic Division destination policies.\\r\\n\\tAssists Shift Supervisor with daily duties, acts as second in command when required.\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\nKnowledge, Skills and Ability:\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tKnowledge of methods and techniques for providing on-site emergency medical services.\\r\\n\\tKnowledge of company medical director approved protocols and standing orders.\\r\\n\\tAbility to read and interpret local maps.\\r\\n\\tDemonstrated skills in the successful completion of multiple, simultaneous, and rapidly emergent tasks.\\r\\n\\tDemonstrated ability to read and understand medical terminology.\\r\\n\\tDemonstrated ability to write reports, and correspondence.\\r\\n\\tDemonstrated ability to effectively present information and respond to questions regarding patient care, Central EMS operations and other customer service issues.\\r\\n\\tDemonstrated ability to utilize personal computer systems including PCR reporting, email, and MDT applications.\\r\\n\\tDemonstrated ability to represent Central EMS and other team members as an EMS professional.\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\nFLSA Status:&nbsp; Non-Exempt\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\nWorking Environment:\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\nDue to the nature of EMS Care working conditions, employees may be exposed to inclement weather, potential hazardous conditions, psychological stressors, diseases and other illnesses.
