Provider shall obtain, maintain and participate in the Medicare and Medicaid Programs, workers compensation, other federal and state reimbursement programs, and the payment plan of any commercial insurer, health maintenance organization, preferred provider organization, accountable health plan, and other health benefit program requested by Legacy. Previous experience in a hospital and/or clinic setting. Expertise in high-risk pregnancy and minimally invasive gynecological procedures is preferred. Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize. Here, you will:</p><ul><li>Work in a dynamic, mission-driven organization that makes a tangible impact on community healthcare</li><li>Benefit from a healthy work-life balance, ensuring both professional satisfaction and personal fulfillment</li><li>Engage in meaningful work that supports women's health and empowerment, contributing to community well-being</li><li>Experience growth opportunities, including loan repayment programs to support your professional journey</li></ul><h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2><ul><li>Obtain complete medical history and physical data on patients, building trust and rapport</li><li>Interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures</li><li>Perform comprehensive physical exams and accurately record findings</li><li>Collaborate with other providers to manage both acute and long-term medical needs, ensuring holistic care</li><li>Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures, utilizing your expertise</li><li>Synthesize data to determine diagnosis and therapeutic plan, incorporating prevention principles</li><li>Interview and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention, including family planning services</li><li>Administer medications and injections, and suture minor lacerations to provide immediate care</li><li>Recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs, fostering community support</li><li>Instruct patients and family members regarding medications and treatment instructions</li><li>Maintain and review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information with diligence</li><li>Post test and examination results, ensuring notes are co-signed by a physician</li><li>Triage patient telephone calls, providing expert consultation and advice</li><li>Manage medical and surgical emergencies with confidence and professionalism</li><li>Provide monitoring and continuity of care between visits, maintaining patient trust</li><li>Have a working knowledge of ICD9, CPT, and HCPCS coding for accurate documentation</li><li>Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations</li><li>Follow Legacy guidelines related to HIPAA to prevent unauthorized disclosure of PHI</li><li>Maintain strict confidentiality and use effective communication skills to enhance patient care</li><li>Participate in the Performance Improvement Program and other duties as assigned, contributing to organizational growth</li></ul><h2><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></h2><ul><li>Medical Doctorate with current licensure in the state of Texas.</li><li>3 years of experience post residency.</li><li>Provider shall obtain, maintain and participate in the Medicare and Medicaid Programs, workers compensation, other federal and state reimbursement programs, and the payment plan of any commercial insurer, health maintenance organization, preferred provider organization, accountable health plan, and other health benefit program requested by Legacy.</li><li>Previous experience in a hospital and/or clinic setting.</li><li>Expertise in high-risk pregnancy and minimally invasive gynecological procedures is preferred.</li><li>Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize.</li></ul><h2><strong>About Legacy Community Health</strong></h2>As the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Southeast Texas, Legacy Community Health has been delivering comprehensive, high-quality, and affordable health care for nearly 40 years.
