    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Associate Vice President of Institutional Advancement (“AVP”) is a seasoned advancement professional tasked with supporting the Executive Vice President, and the Vice President of Institutional advancement in leading a comprehensive fundraising and alumni relations strategy. The AVP will collaborate closely with the Executive Vice President and Vice President of Institutional Advancement, providing leadership and expertise to ensure the success of fundraising initiatives and alumni engagement efforts. Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President and the Vice President of Institutional Advancement, the AVP will play a pivotal role in cultivating a culture of philanthropy within the university community.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The AVP's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Development</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Organize and implement fundraising strategies, including identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gifts from a portfolio list generated from Raiser’s Edge and other research programs used by Institutional Advancement (IA).</li>\n <li>Manage a portfolio of new prospects and lapsed donors, focusing on gifts of $18,000 and above, with an expectation of a minimum of five one-on-one visits per month.</li>\n <li>Assist with further implementation of the Graduway platform and serve as the liaison between Graduway and the schools, easing its implementation into the alumni program.</li>\n <li>Consult and advise on all fundraising activities with Touro IA team members. Provide the information necessary to set fundraising goals in conjunction with the Touro University's Institutional Advancement Department using information from our Database.</li>\n <li>Collaborate closely with other professionals to enhance the event experience for donors and prospects, playing a pivotal role in the coordination of individual events with a major fundraising component (Galas, Dinners, etc.).</li>\n <li>Contribute significantly to the development and implementation of a social marketing strategy, including website e-philanthropy and direct mail in schools.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Alumni Affairs</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Identify and manage a targeted portfolio database of alumni with the aim of soliciting major gifts through an ongoing program in consultation with the central IA office.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Communications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Collaborate closely with the Communications and Marketing Department to create necessary presentations for major gift donors.</li>\n <li>Speak on behalf of the institution at events, or other public functions when necessary.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Administration</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide leadership and direction to the Institutional Advancement team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment in consultation with the VP/IA.</li>\n <li>Take a leading role in developing and managing budgets for fundraising and alumni relations initiatives.</li>\n <li>Monitor and evaluate team performance against established goals with the EVP and VP .</li>\n <li>Maintain detailed documentation of fundraising strategies and processes.</li>\n <li>Conduct prospect and donor research using any and all available search engines or systems such as Hatch ai system</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as necessary.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education, Preparation, and Training</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 15 years of experience in fundraising having significant successes in closing major gifts of $100,000 and above.</li>\n <li>Experience in Annual Alumni Fund of varying educational entities.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated success in leading comprehensive advancement operations.</li>\n <li>Experience managing fundraising staff, volunteers, and major donor relationships.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of school advancement and alumni affairs preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Skills</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Ability to interact effectively with diverse constituencies, including donors and university leadership.</li>\n <li>Strategic thinker with a track record of achieving ambitious goals.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and fundraising database software specifically Raiser’s Edge.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Extensive computer use and sitting/standing required.</li>\n <li>Ability to lift up to 5 lbs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Travel</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Travel required as necessary.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Maximum Salary</h2>USD $200,000.00/Yr.\n<h2>Minimum Salary</h2>USD $180,000.00/Yr.",
