The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor will be able to perform duties in a timely manner and advise leadership of any potential issues that could affect the overall performance and longevity of the fleet<br></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><strong id=\"isPasted\">POSITION SUMMARY:&nbsp;</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor oversees and maintains an effective fleet maintenance program to ensure that fleet vehicles are maintained in an effective and safety-conscious manner. The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor will be able to perform duties in a timely manner and advise leadership of any potential issues that could affect the overall performance and longevity of the fleet.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><strong id=\"isPasted\">KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></span></p><ul><li id=\"isPasted\" style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Provide daily guidance and support to on-site technicians to ensure all maintenance work is performed in a safe, efficient and timely manner<ul type=\"circle\" style=\"font-size: initial; font-family: initial;\"><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Responsible for maintenance, service, diagnosing, major repair of fleet vehicles and monthly PM compliance (in multiple yards when required)</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Ensure shop or facility is clean and kept in a safe, professional working manner</li></ul></li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Plan and schedule team workloads based on preventative maintenance tasks, utilizing budget and personnel&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Manage and maintain company RTA maintenance program, work order data and recurring preventative maintenance schedules</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Ensure vehicle documentation (i.e., registration, insurance, etc.) is current and kept in vehicle as required.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Track and provide recurring maintenance data reports to Management</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Review DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports) and distribute the noted defects via work orders to the correct personnel for repair/defect correction and confirmation of Mechanic sign off&rsquo;s on the DVIR</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Ensure all company safety policies are frequently reviewed, tailgated &amp; enforced. (LOTO, Hot Works, Fall Protection etc.)</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Report any in yard(s) spills, falls, incidents to Division Manager as required</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Coordinate and direct the activities of all shop personnel including mechanics and welders</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Assign tasks for the mechanical repair of heavy duty refuse trucks</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Maintain parts inventory and container tracking</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Monitor maintenance work flow and ensures tasks are completed in a timely manner and to company standards</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Administer DOT and preventative maintenance programs while ensuring shop personnel is following safe work practices</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Process employee requests including vacation, PTO&rsquo;s etc. and assists with the scheduling of time off</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Coach and develop employees by continuously communicating with team members and providing guidance for improvement and recognition of efforts</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Handle and resolve employee relations issues and incorporates consistent and timely disciplinary standards, preparation, and documentation of corrective action notices&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Follow and administer company safety programs by conducting monthly safety meetings, facility inspections and ensuring compliance to all OSHA and DOT regulations as well as SWPPP compliance</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Investigate and complete reports for work related injuries and/or vehicle accidents/incidents and submits paperwork to appropriate insurance carriers in a prompt manner &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Train new shop personnel on company training program and proper use of assigned equipment.</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Responsible for submitting incident alert emails on same day of occurrence&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Responsible for answering action item related emails in prompt manner&nbsp;</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><strong id=\"isPasted\">QUALIFICATIONS:</strong>&nbsp;</span></p><ul id=\"isPasted\"><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Minimum of 5 years&rsquo; experience managing a fleet repair facility and heavy duty Mechanics as well as thorough knowledge of HD engines, transmissions and mechanical repairs.</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">A valid California Driver&rsquo;s license, required<ol style=\"font-size: initial; font-family: initial;\"><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Commercial Driver&rsquo;s license preferred</li></ol></li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">ASE certification for alternative fuels is a plus</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><strong id=\"isPasted\">COMPETENCIES:</strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\" id=\"isPasted\"><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Strong organizational skills and ability to motivate large groups</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Good decision making, problem solving and communication skills</li><li style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Knowledge with DOT and OSHA regulations</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><strong id=\"isPasted\">PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:</strong></span></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">The job involves outdoor work and exposure to various weather conditions.
