We are currently looking for a full-time Customs Broker to join our team in Canada on a hybrid (if in Calgary) or remote work model. Reporting to the Canadian Customs Manager, you will be handling a portfolio of diverse accounts, with a focus on our international logistics and customs brokerage services. </span><span>Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Delivering exceptional customer service on pre-entry requirements, document review/prioritization, and customs entry creation.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ensuring customer profiles are updated and current for assigned accounts.</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintaining and developing positive relationships with assigned accounts.</span></li>\n<li><span>Compiling and preparing commercial regulatory documents such as customs invoices, certificates of origin, and cargo-control documents for entry processing.</span></li>\n<li><span>Helping create customs forms and obtain customs release of shipments.</span></li>\n<li><span>Calculating duty and tariff payments owed on imports.</span></li>\n<li><span>Paying, or arranging for payment of, taxes and duties on the customer's behalf.</span></li>\n<li><span>Coordinating and confirming the release and delivery of all cargo.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 22px; font-weight: bold\">About You</span></p>\n<p><span>To qualify, you will need at least 3 years of experience as a Customs Broker, a proven track record in logistics or importing and exporting services, as well as a strong customer service and/or account management background. </span><span>Due to the nature of the role, we also require a valid Driver's License. </span><span>In addition, candidates with strong Customs background, skills, and experience in the following are also essential:<br></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Harmonized System Tariff Classification</span></li>\n<li><span>Freight, Canadian Customs, and U.S. Customs processes and procedures</span></li>\n<li><span>Trade agreements</span></li>\n<li><span>Import and export of goods in various industries</span></li>\n<li><span>Customer service or account management</span></li>\n<li><span>Designation or working toward the completion of a CCS (Certified Customs Specialist), CTCS (Certified Trade Compliance Specialist), or any professional customs designation</span></li>\n<li><span>Cargowise or equivalent business intelligence software platforms (asset)</span></li>\n<li><span>A positive attitude and solutions-focused customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment</span></li>\n<li><span>Proficient knowledge of MS Office, and CRM best practices</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>Most importantly, you have the willingness to learn and thrive in an environment where independence and responsibility are given without constant supervision.
