This role combines technical expertise with an understanding of academic workflows to drive digital transformation, improve student outcomes, and increase operational efficiency.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The ideal candidate will work with academic teams, IT, researchers, and leadership stakeholders to identify AI opportunities, build prototypes, deploy production-ready systems, and promote responsible AI adoption aligned with institutional policies.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>AI Strategy &amp; Innovation</strong></p><ul><li>Contribute to the development of the GEDU’s AI roadmap aligned with academic and operational goals.</li><li>Identify high-impact AI use cases for student success, admissions, academic support, research enablement, and automation.</li><li>Evaluate emerging technologies and propose scalable solutions.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Solution Design &amp; Development</strong></p><ul><li>Build, fine-tune, and deploy machine learning and generative AI models for use cases such as automated student support, predictive analytics, content generation, and academic analytics.</li><li>Design and maintain AI pipelines, including data ingestion, model training, evaluation, and monitoring.</li><li>Integrate AI solutions with existing systems (LMS/Moodle, SIS/Thesis, CRM/Zoho, ERP, HR systems, and data warehouse).</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Data Management &amp; Engineering</strong></p><ul><li>Work closely with Data &amp; Analytics teams to ensure availability of clean, structured, and secure datasets.</li><li>Collaborate on data governance, privacy, ethical AI, and compliance with regulations (GDPR, FERPA-equivalent guidelines).</li><li>Implement feature engineering, model versioning, and MLOps best practices.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>AI for Teaching &amp; Learning</strong></p><ul><li>Support academic staff in using AI tools for course design, assessment, personalised learning pathways, and content creation.</li><li>Provide training materials, workshops, and best-practice guidelines to academic and professional services teams.</li><li>Collaborate on AI-enhanced learning analytics models to improve student retention and performance.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Operational AI &amp; Automation</strong></p><ul><li>Develop AI-driven automations to streamline admissions, marketing, student support, and internal operations.</li><li>Build chatbots, knowledge assistants, and process automations using LLMs, RPA, or workflow engines.</li><li>Support AI adoption across departments through prototypes and proof-of-concept projects.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Governance &amp; Ethical AI</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure responsible and transparent AI practices across the institution.</li><li>Contribute to AI usage policies, risk assessments, and security frameworks.</li><li>Promote fairness, bias detection, and responsible data handling.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Required Experience &amp; Qualifications</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Technical Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Strong knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI (LLMs).</li><li>Hands-on experience with Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, LangChain, Azure OpenAI/ OpenAI APIs, or similar.</li><li>Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud (Azure preferred in HE).</li><li>Experience deploying AI models in production using MLOps frameworks.</li><li>Candidates must possess a minimum of ten years of work experience.&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of data pipelines, ETL, SQL, data warehousing, and API integrations.</li></ul><p><strong>Higher Education Experience (preferred)</strong></p><ul><li>Familiarity with academic processes: admissions, student lifecycle, assessments, LMS, timetabling, student retention, and research workflows.</li></ul><p><strong>Soft Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.</li><li>Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.</li><li>Collaborative mindset, capable of working with IT, academics, and leadership.</li><li>Problem-solving and innovation-focused approach.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Desirable Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Engineering, or related discipline.</li><li>Certifications in cloud AI, data engineering, or machine learning (Azure AI Engineer, AWS ML Specialist, etc.) desirable.</li><li>Experience in higher education or research environment is an advantage.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>KPIs &amp;
