Ultimately, this this role ensures that water resources are used responsibly to support productive and environmentally sound farming practices.</p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in irrigation within an agricultural setting</li><li>Experience with irrigation system operation and maintenance</li><li>Strong understanding of soil science, hydrology, and crop water management</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li data-pasted=\"true\">Certification in irrigation technology or related agricultural training</li><li>Experience with different types of irrigation systems such as drip irrigation, center pivot systems, and automated control systems</li><li>Familiarity with sustainable water management practices and regulatory compliance</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Assist in developing, implementing, and overseeing irrigation schedules and systems tailored to specific crop and soil requirements</li><li>Monitor soil moisture and weather forecasts and adjust water distribution to crops accordingly</li><li>Ensure that irrigation systems are functioning properly and efficiently</li><li>Collaborate with other team members to ensure the success of the farm</li></ul><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><p>The Irrigator II uses technical skills daily to adjust irrigation systems that meet crop water needs efficiently.
