    "description": "<p>Do you enjoy hands-on work, staying active, and being part of a mission that truly matters? <br>Goodwill Industries of Tenneva is hiring<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Textile Production Team Members</span> to support our retail operations and help transform donated goods into sellable merchandise that funds life-changing programs. <br>In this role, you’ll play an essential part behind the scenes. Grading, pricing, tagging, and preparing donated clothing for the sales floor. Your work directly generates revenue that supports employment services, education programs, and job training opportunities across our communities.</p>\n<p> <br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Details</span></p>\n<p> <br><span style=\"color: inherit\">This position will begin temporarily at our<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Kingsport Warehouse</span> location. Once our new<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Johnson City store opens</span>, team members who are still employed with Goodwill after August will transition to the new store location and support the launch of our expanded retail operations.</span> <br><span style=\"color: inherit\">This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on production experience while helping prepare inventory for a brand-new store opening.</span></p>\n<p> <br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Do</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inspect donated textiles for quality, condition, and usability</li>\n<li>Determine appropriate disposition of items (sellable, salvage, recycle, or discard)</li>\n<li>Price, tag, and hang clothing according to Goodwill standards</li>\n<li>Operate the Celerant system to select price points and print merchandise tags</li>\n<li>Organize garments by category, size, and price on rolling racks</li>\n<li>Maintain steady production flow to meet daily and weekly performance goals</li>\n<li>Identify high-quality or unique items appropriate for e-commerce or specialty sales</li>\n<li>Monitor product quality to ensure an excellent customer shopping experience</li>\n<li>Communicate with leadership regarding production needs, shortages, or quality concerns</li>\n<li>Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times</li>\n<li>Follow all safety guidelines, policies, and Goodwill’s Code of Ethics</li>\n<li>Assist in other work areas as needed to support overall store operations</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Performance Expectations</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Meet or exceed daily production targets</li>\n<li>Maintain consistent quality and pricing accuracy</li>\n<li>Support a positive and collaborative team environment</li>\n<li>Demonstrate accountability and reliability in attendance and performance</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We’re Looking For</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong attention to detail and quality</li>\n<li>Ability to stay focused and productive in a fast-paced environment</li>\n<li>Good judgment and decision-making skills</li>\n<li>Ability to follow written and verbal instructions</li>\n<li>Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team</li>\n<li>Professional communication skills and a positive attitude</li>\n<li>Willingness to learn new systems and processes</li>\n<li>High school diploma or GED preferred</li>\n<li>Prior retail or production experience helpful but not required, training provided</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical &amp; Work Environment</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to stand and walk for extended periods</li>\n<li>Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks</li>\n<li>Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 35 pounds</li>\n<li>Work performed indoors in warehouse, retail, and production environments</li>\n<li>Exposure to donated goods, including dust and lint</li>\n<li>Frequent handling of clothing and textiles</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Career Growth Opportunities</span> At Goodwill Tenneva, we believe in promoting from within.
