Are you someone who can provide advocacy and support to individuals served in learning social and vocational skills?</p>\n\n<p>If yes, Lakemary is looking for an Employment Support Specialist for our Adults Day Service Program. In this role you will support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their work environment during day hours. This role functions under general supervision of Day Service Coordinator.</p>\n\n<p><strong>Employment Support Specialist Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Provide direction and supervision on ground and in the community.</li>\n\t<li>Helping people we support gain and maintain meaningful competitive employment in the community.</li>\n\t<li>Respond to requests and inquiries from others as appropriate.</li>\n\t<li>Understand and follow instructions provided by supervisor(s).</li>\n\t<li>Intervene in crisis situations, including physical management of persons served, using approved crisis management system and skills.</li>\n\t<li>Keep the work environment safe, clean, and orderly.</li>\n\t<li>Complete all documentation by the end of shift.</li>\n\t<li>Serve as liaison between community employment sites and Lakemary Center, Inc.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>An ideal candidate for this position has: </strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Ability to:\n\t<ul>\n\t\t<li>Maintain confidentiality of persons served and staff.</li>\n\t\t<li>Setup, train, and ensure quality assurance of all production as it relates to individuals served.</li>\n\t\t<li>Utilize time management skills.</li>\n\t\t<li>Interpret, apply, and explain applicable rules and regulations.</li>\n\t\t<li>Establish and maintain effective working relationships.</li>\n\t</ul>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>Reliability</li>\n\t<li>Honesty &amp; integrity</li>\n\t<li>Good communication &amp; problem-solving skills</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Employment Support Specialist Qualifications:</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>High School Diploma/GED or equivalent</li>\n\t<li>Due to Insurance criteria be at least:\n\t<ul>\n\t\t<li><u>Olathe Location</u> 19+ years of age</li>\n\t</ul>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) to meet standard driving requirements</li>\n\t<li>Preferred direct care experience</li>\n\t<li>Ability to complete CESP/ACRE certification by the first year of employment.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Other Job Details:</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Day hours:&nbsp;<u>Olathe Location</u>&nbsp;7:30am-3:30pm Monday through Friday&nbsp;</li>\n\t<li>Starting Pay: $17-$18.50 based on experience</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>Lakemary provides competitive compensation and benefit package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans; paid time off; and a 401(k)-retirement plan</strong></p>\n\n<p><strong>Certifications:</strong></p>\n\n<p>Lakemary provides training in program specific coursework.</p>\n\n<p><strong>Special Considerations:</strong></p>\n\n<p>Some environments/shifts require same sex staff due to regulatory requirements.</p>\n\n<p><strong>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.
