Interns will rotate through various departments such as operations, estimating, project engineering, and safety, gaining comprehensive exposure and contributing to meaningful projects that support our business.</p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong>:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Participate in onboarding, safety orientation, and MSHA Part 46 or 48 training (as applicable)</li><li>Rotate through construction crews and departments, including:<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><p>Base, Paving, Grading, and Milling Crews.</p></li><li><p>Asphalt Plants.</p></li><li><p>Flagging Operations.</p></li><li><p>Estimating.</p></li><li><p>Project Engineering.</p></li><li><p>Trucking and Shop Foreman shadowing.</p></li><li><p>Construction Management.</p></li><li><p>Engage in at least one core project (more encouraged) related to operations optimization, maintenance, equipment, or financials.</p></li><li><p>Attend and present at the final Corporate Internship Presentation, summarizing experience, projects, and takeaways.</p></li><li><p>Participate in community engagement activities to experience company culture/.</p></li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong>:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Interest in field work and practical learning environments.</li><li>Self-motivated, curious, and eager to contribute to a team.</li><li>Willingness to travel or relocate within the region for job site exposure.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong>:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Previous internship or field experience in construction or heavy civil operations.</li><li>Basic understanding of construction plans, estimating principles, and safety protocols.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership through campus organizations, academics, or athletics.</li></ul><p><strong>What You’ll Gain</strong>:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Broad exposure to construction operations and corporate functions.</li><li>Mentorship from experienced professionals.</li><li>Professional development and networking opportunities.</li><li>Hands-on experience with real projects and site operations.</li><li>Insight into potential full-time career opportunities with Rogers Group.</li></ul><p><strong>Ready to Build Your Future with Us?</strong></p><p>Submit your resume and a short cover letter expressing your interest and what you hope to gain from the internship.
