    "description": "<p><strong>Transitional Counselor (Part-Time)</strong><br />\n<strong><em>Saturday &amp; Sunday, 3pm&ndash;11pm (16 hours/week)</em></strong><br />\n<br />\nBHcare is seeking a compassionate and motivated <strong>Transitional Counselor</strong> to support residents in our Young Adult Services program. This part-time role provides direct support, skill building, and counseling to help clients build independence, stability, and a higher quality of life.<br />\n<br />\n<strong>What You&rsquo;ll Do:</strong><br />\n&bull; Assist with daily program operations and provide individualized support to residents.<br />\n&bull; Help clients develop and implement recovery plans, reviewing progress regularly.<br />\n&bull; Support independent living skills such as hygiene, meal planning, money management, and household responsibilities.<br />\n&bull; Provide crisis assessment and intervention when needed, collaborating with clinical and emergency resources.<br />\n&bull; Document services, maintain case records, and ensure accurate reporting.<br />\n&bull; Facilitate connections to community resources, clinical services, vocational supports, and natural supports.<br />\n&bull; Collaborate with nursing staff on medication needs.<br />\n&bull; Ensure the safety and well-being of residents during scheduled shifts.<br />\n<br />\n<strong>What We&rsquo;re Looking For:</strong><br />\n&bull; Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for helping others.<br />\n&bull; Ability to support clients with co-occurring disorders using trauma-informed, person-centered approaches.<br />\n&bull; Reliable, flexible, and committed to maintaining a safe, supportive environment.<br />\n&bull; Must remain awake and alert at all times during scheduled shifts.<br />\n&bull; Valid driver&rsquo;s license and willingness to provide transportation when needed.<br />\n<br />\n<strong>Why Join Us?</strong><br />\nAt BHcare, you&rsquo;ll make a meaningful difference in the lives of young adults as they work toward independence and long-term success.
