Our high expectations of our staff offer them the opportunity to make a difference with our clients and immediately contribute to the team.</li></ul><p><strong>Experience at HeplerBroom will include:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Assess strategy and prepare documents for responding to environmental violations alleged by Illinois EPA and USEPA</li><li>Participate in meetings with clients and regulators regarding environmental permitting and alleged violations&nbsp;</li><li>Make court appearances and appear at hearings before the Illinois Pollution Control Board</li><li>Research, analyze, and interpret law sources such as statutes, rules and regulations, ordinances, court decisions, and legal opinions</li><li>Assist with document review</li><li>Conduct depositions</li><li>Write motions, and responses to discovery</li><li>Monitor routine case files to ensure deadlines are maintained; investigate facts and legal matters to determine causes of action</li></ul><p><strong>Ideal candidate will have:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Good standing with the Illinois bar</li><li>Strong interest and desire to learn environmental law</li><li>Strong research skills</li><li>Strong writing skills</li><li>Strong analytical skills</li><li>Deposition experience (preferred)&nbsp;</li></ul><p>HeplerBroom is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
