          "text": "<p><strong>Position Purpose:&#xa0;</strong></p><p>The Site Safety Manager is responsible for the safe and accident-free operation of their site. This includes identifying any potential safety hazards and implementing plans to prevent these dangers.</p><p><strong>Primary Duties/Responsibilities:&#xa0;</strong></p><ul><li>Coordinates and administers the Site Heath, Safety, environmental and Security Program for multiple locations.</li><li>Investigates unsafe conditions and incidents, performs plant safety, security and environmental inspections and coordinates the corrective actions towards resolution.</li><li>Ensure sites of responsibilities comply with Federal, State, Local &amp; Veolia’s Health &amp; Safety Standards.</li><li>Recognize potential hazards and risks by implementing daily, weekly, monthly walkthroughs.</li><li>Conduct Monthly Safety Inspection Reports and track findings to closure.</li><li>Report hazards and regulatory concerns to Project Managers &amp; Regional VP of Operations.</li><li>Ensure that all employees, subcontractors/vendors and visitors comply with applicable Veolia’s H&amp;S policies &amp; procedures.</li><li>Complete, track and investigate incident/injury reports, near misses.</li><li>Conduct root cause analysis investigations and develop corrective actions for all incidents.</li><li>Develop and review site-specific safety related written SOPs and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).</li><li>Ensure H&amp;S files (documentation) are maintained to include training records, equipment inspection logs, industrial hygiene evaluations, and procedures certifications.</li><li>Be accessible and visible to the employee population by monitoring, evaluating and addressing employee safety concerns and issues.</li><li>Coordinate and monitor monthly site safety committee meetings.</li><li>Deliver and distribute employee safety training requirements, safety alerts and monthly awareness.</li><li>Communications, concerns and suggestions.</li><li>Provide new employee and contractor safety orientations.</li><li>Ensure compliance and monitor requirements with the Process Safety Management (PSM) Standard.</li><li>Coordinate site specific emergency planning programs. Develop and review site emergency programs (fire, hurricane, chemical spills, etc.).</li><li>Implement fire and emergency drills.</li><li>Participates and coordinates all visits of federal, state and insurance inspectors and follows up on their recommendations.</li></ul>",

          "text": "<p><strong>Education/Experience/Background:&#xa0;</strong></p><ul><li>Associate’s Degree or equivalent.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in occupational or environmental health strongly preferred.</li><li>Experience in developing and coordinating safety programs and delivering safety training is a plus.</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:&#xa0;</strong></p><ul><li>Working knowledge of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Hazards Administration) regulations and requirements.</li><li>Working knowledge of State and Federal laws, local ordinances, and other rules and regulations associated with facility and employee safety and security.</li><li>Competent to implement site specific safety procedures; i.e.; Hazard Communication, Process Safety Management, Electrical Safety, Emergency Management plan, etc.</li><li>Must complete a physical fitness test to wear a respirator (if applicable) and any required safety equipment necessary to perform these duties.</li><li>Must demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Requires competency with software applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint with ability to download, manipulate and report data. Ability to learn other programs including Caribou, OPS32, MP-2 and Triple-I database software.</li><li>Must demonstrate effective communication skills (verbal, presentation and listening) to interact with all levels of personnel.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate, effective, complete and easily understood written communications and reports.</li><li>Must be able to respond to emergencies at the plant during off hours and weekends.</li></ul><p><strong>Required Certification/Licenses/Training:&#xa0;</strong></p><ul><li>Certified on first-aid and CPR.</li><li>Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.</li></ul>",
