    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p>The SNUG Outreach Worker works to provide the community with a resource that will assist the victims of crime and improve community safety by changing behaviors, attitudes, and social norms related to gun violence. &nbsp;The SNUG Outreach Worker responds to shootings in the targeted community to prevent retaliation and to assist family members of those who have been injured or killed. &nbsp;The SNUG Outreach Worker will support the philosophy and mission of the agency by performing the following duties.</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Canvas designated zones or other areas that have been identified and assigned by Supervisor.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Visits high risk participants (must have a minimum of six in person contacts per month) to assist with overcoming any identified obstacles.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Works with both victims and perpetrators of crime (who are often victims themselves) to provide connections to services. &nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Meets with high risk youth involved in the program to set goals with an emphasis on providing educational and job opportunities. &nbsp;Additional services may include connection to substance use treatment, education and college prep, resume building, job readiness skills, anger management groups and positive life skills groups.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Works with community stakeholders to educate the community about violence.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Mediates conflicts that could lead to violence in target area.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Engages the community, religious organizations/clergy, and local businesses through rallies and special events.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Participates in weekly one on one supervision with management.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Participates in weekly staff meetings.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Enters daily log, case notes, and mediations in SNUG database.<br><br></li></ul><p><strong>Education/Experience: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. &nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Must have lived experience with background similar to the high risk youth being served by this initiative. &nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Preferable that the applicant live in the targeted community and be known to the target population.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Valid Driver&rsquo;s License is required.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Shift:</strong></p><ul><li>Tuesday through Thursday, 11:00 am - 7:00 pm; &nbsp;Friday to Saturday, 1:00 pm &ndash; 9:00 pm but may vary based on the needs of the program.</li></ul></div>\n",
