    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The EHS Technician will be responsible for assisting with implementation of company’s environmental, health, and safety programs and will perform environmental, health, and safety reviews in various areas of the site to ensure compliance with company and government regulated standards.  This individual will represent the EHS team in the field by building rapport and will be an engaged resource to help assist in the prevention of any environmental, occupational injury/illness related losses.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Coordinate waste and wastewater management</li>\n <li>Conduct routine safety observations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, company environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and practices.</li>\n <li>Communicate issues, opportunities for improvement, and positive findings to operations and leadership.</li>\n <li>Conduct daily field permit audits for work being performed.</li>\n <li>Review and communicate discrepancies associated with the site Notice of Registration.</li>\n <li>Maintain all relevant records and documentation for environmental and safety compliance demonstration (inspections, audits, corrective actions, sampling and manifesting).</li>\n <li>Inspect and document landfills and groundwater recovery wells.</li>\n <li>Provide support for environmental release response and remediation.  </li>\n <li>Assist in training endeavors when requested</li>\n <li>May respond to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate EHS concerns.</li>\n <li>Conduct or assist in investigations providing root cause analysis for onsite incidents, as necessary.</li>\n <li>Help drive and champion company EHS programs and initiatives</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Required knowledge/skills/abilities</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong environmental, health, and safety mentality</li>\n <li>Ability to multitask and handle multiple simultaneous assignments</li>\n <li>Self-motivated</li>\n <li>Demonstrated problem solving and organizational skills</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team</li>\n <li>Demonstrated troubleshooting/Root Cause Analysis skills</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to evaluate environmental, health, and safety related risks.</li>\n <li>Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft office applications.</li>\n <li>Understanding of OSHA requirements as it pertains to CFR 1910.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Desirable<u> </u>knowledge/skills/abilities:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>HAZWOPER and/or HAZMAT training</li>\n <li>OSHA 30 certification</li>\n <li>Familiarity with local, state, and federal codes as they apply to all aspects of chemical/petrochemical manufacturing areas.</li>\n <li>Experience in EHS compliance with knowledge of environmental and safety requirements.</li>\n <li>2-5 years of EHS experience preferably within the chemical/petrochemical industry.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><u>Required education</u></p>\n<p>HS diploma or equivalent</p>",
