Working out of our Lebanon Pines department and reporting to the Facilities Director, you will apply your skilled trade knowledge to handle a range of maintenance, grounds, and safety responsibilities across SCADD properties.</p><p>Responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Maintain buildings by performing routine painting and minor repairs to electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems</li><li>Notify management of the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment</li><li>Maintain grounds, including mowing grass, trimming shrubs, clearing litter, and keeping fences and walls free of vegetation</li><li>Complete weekly fire and safety reports as assigned</li><li>Participate in safety committee meetings as assigned</li><li>Remain available after hours to respond to emergency maintenance issues</li><li>Ready all facilities for seasonal changes, including maintaining, installing, or removing air conditioners, and managing ice and snow removal supplies and equipment</li><li>Clear snow, ice, and debris from sidewalks and parking areas at all SCADD properties as assigned</li><li>Participate in the orientation of new employees and the transfer of knowledge necessary for the performance of duties</li></ul><p><strong>What You&#39;ll Need:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent; three to six months of related experience and/or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>Skilled-level experience in building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or related trades</li><li>Valid driver&#39;s license with an acceptable driving record (no or minimal infractions) <strong>required</strong></li><li>Ability to identify potential hazards and take action to ensure the safety of people, buildings, and grounds</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and respond to changing needs in a timely manner</li><li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven environment</li><li>Commitment to SCADD&#39;s values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed practice</li></ul><p><strong>Why SCADD?</strong></p><p>Since 1966, SCADD has remained at the forefront of substance use disorder treatment, continuously evolving to meet the needs of individuals, families, and communities across Southeastern Connecticut.
