In some courses, you may serve as the accompanist and not the primary instructor. Ability to teach Theatre History I and II is a bonus. Courses to teach are directed by the Chair of Theatre.</li><li>Have advanced piano and sight reading skills for accompanying from sheet music.&nbsp;</li><li>Collaboration with the Program Director Musical Theatre Professor in needs of growth for the Musical Theatre Program</li><li>Advisor for students in the BFA in Musical Theatre program</li><li>Serves on committees and/or conducts other university service responsibilities</li><li>Maintain professional and academic national standing</li><li>Musical Director for 1 production per academic year or other leadership role as needed and assigned by the GTA Artistic Director. Receives 3 credits of release time for the semester the show is produced or the leadership position is needed. If not applied, pick up 3 credit hours of classes.&nbsp;</li><li>Support fellow faculty members including those within the Gainesville Theatre Alliance structure (GTA).</li><li>Attend and participate in faculty meetings with both Brenau and Gainesville Theatre Alliance (GTA).</li><li>Recruit for the Theatre Department &amp; Brenau. Help set Theatre Talent Scholarship amounts for BFA Musical Theatre students. Collaborate with Admissions &amp; Financial Aid offices to send letters of award. Piano skills utilized for auditions into our program.</li><li>Other duties as assigned by the Chair.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Supervisory Responsibilities:<br></u></strong>No supervisory responsibilities required.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Work Hours:</u></strong><br>&nbsp;Full-time. 37.5 hours per week. Generally, Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Hours may be extended to meet the needs of the department.
