    "description": "<p>We are hiring an HVAC Technician to work with and handle various refrigerants and HVAC systems.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Possess a comprehensive knowledge of HVAC/R theory and practice to include: electrical theory;<br>principles of refrigeration and heat transfer; and system operations.<br></li>\n<li>Follow directions from the Contractor Supervisor and the COR while working independently and as a<br>team.<br></li>\n<li>Communicate with the Contractor Supervisor, COR, and other personnel.<br></li>\n<li>Operate a variety of tools applicable to the field.<br></li>\n<li>Inspect and diagnose related system problems and read and interpret blueprints and specifications.<br></li>\n<li>Troubleshoot and diagnose problems to identifying the root cause of malfunctions in<br>refrigeration and air conditioning systems with the use of specialized tools and diagnostic procedures.<br></li>\n<li>Comply with safety regulations and procedures related to POL storage; regulations concerning temperature<br>control, ventilation, and handling of the materials.<br></li>\n<li>Work with various refrigerants (i.e., charging systems with refrigerants, testing leaks, etc.) and adhering to<br>EPA regulations regarding the handling and disposal of refrigerants (i.e., Section 608 Universal Refrigeration<br>Certification).<br></li>\n<li>Perform preventive maintenance and conduct regular inspections, cleaning, filter changes, and other<br>maintenance activities to ensure optimal system performance and prevent breakdowns as applicable.<br></li>\n<li>Participate in installation projects (i.e., positioning components, installing piping, connecting auxiliary<br>controls, etc.) to ensure installations comply with specifications.<br></li>\n<li>Work on steam, gas, and other specialized systems.<br></li>\n<li>Work with refrigeration systems used in storing and transporting petroleum, oils, and lubricants to include<br>specialized cooling equipment and potentially hazardous environments.<br></li>\n<li>Respond to emergency calls when directed by the Contractor Supervisor or COR.<br></li>\n<li>Maintain records for accountability and to an audit standard.<br></li>\n<li>Deliver excellent customer service both to internal and external customers while working collaboratively<br>to build professional relationships (i.e., personnel, customers, etc.).<br></li>\n<li>Identify safety concerns to the Contractor Supervisor and other required stakeholders (i.e., DOD, ARMY,<br>OSHA, ANSI, etc.).<br></li>\n<li>Assist in maintaining accurate files and provide documentation to the COR as applicable.<br></li>\n<li>Ensure all administrative functions/paperwork are in order relative to receipt documentation<br></li>\n<li>Ensure work orders, or internal paperwork, are accomplished on time and in the required format<br></li>\n<li>Maintain a clean and safe worksite while performing or conducting job duties and be attentive to detail.<br></li>\n<li>Support the mission, vision, values, and goals of the US ARMY.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Required Experience</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 6 years of experience in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning/Refrigeration (HVAC/R) field<br>and possess and maintain a valid Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Section 608 Universal Refrigeration<br>Certification, High School Diploma/GED, and an active CLASS C Driver’s License</li>\n</ul>\n<p>or</p>\n<ul>\n<li>3 years of experience in the HVAC/R field and possess and maintain a valid EPA Section 608 Universal<br>Refrigeration Certification with a certificate of an associate’s degree in mechanical engineering technology or a<br>related field and an active CLASS C Driver’s License.</li>\n</ul>",
