The ideal candidate will possess strong shore-based operational experience, it would be preferable if you have tanker sailing experience. In this shore-based role, you will apply your maritime expertise to manage fleet operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and optimal performance across all vessels under your responsibility and also have the ability to optimise voyages for improved TCE performance.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced maritime professional with a background in tanker operations to take the next step in their career and make a significant impact in a dynamic shore-based role.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Key responsibilities and primary deliverables</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Operations</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Oversee and manage the daily operations of the fleet of tankers, ensuring all vessels under your responsibility adhere to company policies, industry regulations and safety standards and Charter Party terms.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ensure that all voyages are conducted with the primary regard to the safety of crew, vessel, and protection to the environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Route and bunker optimization, closely monitoring bunker consumption, effective port cost management, improving cargo intake, reducing turn-around times for tank cleaning and effective liaising with stakeholders to minimise off-hire.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Minimise the operational costs and controlling vessels performance to ensure overall performance of the voyages are in line with Owners and Charterers expectations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Provide operational guidance to Masters and Officers, ensuring clear communication of all required information, voyage instructions, Charter Party terms and any special instructions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Provide expert advise on navigation, mooring, cargo operations, approving stowage plans and provide guidance on tank cleaning, in addition to supporting optimal fleet performance.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Review and evaluate any operational issues that arise, providing guidance and solutions to minimise downtime and operational delays.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Act as main point of contact between the fleet and the shore-based management team, providing timely updates and reports on operational matters. Ensuring all parties are continuously updated on voyage orders and vessel itineraries.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ensure Charterers adequately plan bunker supplies in accordance with company guidelines.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Check freight/hire invoices on a regular basis and upon delivery to Charterers.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Negotiate Agency fees and appoint agents as necessary.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Conduct regular audits of fleet operations and vessel performance to ensure ongoing compliance and identify opportunities for optimisation, efficiency improvements and cost control.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Support the investigation of any operational incidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and safety lessons are learned to prevent reoccurrence.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Collaborate with other departments (technical, crewing, safety and commercial) to ensure the operational performance of the fleet meets company expectations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Actively promote and enforce the company safety culture and standards abroad all vessels, collaborating closely with QHSSE.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Vessel Attendance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"> Attending ships as required</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Emergency Response procedures</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Assist as part of the emergency / crisis management team and make appropriate requirements.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Marine Compliance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Stay informed of industry regulations and best practices, ensuring fleet procedures are updated and operations align with the emerging standards.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">File / Report Management</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ensure that all required documentation is up to date and compliant with international regulations.<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">File and maintain all voyage correspondence.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Skills profile</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Relevant experience &amp; education</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">At least 2-3 years of relevant shore-based experience in an operations role.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Strong understanding of Tanker operations, including optimising vessel performance, interpreting Charter Party terms, managing cargo operations, navigation, stowage and ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations and standards and industry best practice.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with vessel crews and shore-based management.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ability to provide clear, actionable guidance on operational matters.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
